Why Arsenal MUST reject Milan’s transfer bid for Wilshere

For the time being everyone concerned with the situation of the on loan Arsenal star should be quite happy and not too focused on what may happen in the future. Jack Wilshere should be happy that he is getting regular game time with his loan club AFC Bournemouth and the manager of the Cherries, Eddie Howe, seems happy to have him, while Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans will be glad to see our injury plagued midfielder gaining fitness and form which is why he left Arsenal in the first place.

Sooner or later, however, decisions on the England international’s future will have to be made and that has been brought into the light a bit this week with the Daily Star reporting that other clubs are already starting to follow Wilshere’s situation and the Serie A club AC Milan are already thinking about making a move for him in the transfer market.

This transfer bid from Italy is not likely to happen until the end of this season but if and when they do make a move I think that Wenger and the Arsenal board have to reject it and bring Wilshere back into the fold. Jack may not have opened his scoring tally for Bournemouth yet but he has hit the woodwork more times than any other player in the Premier League and it is only a matter of time.

He was denied by the post again on Saturday but his influence is growing and he was even included in the EPL team of the week picked by Metro. So with the Gunners struggling in midfield without the Spaniard Santi Cazorla, who is not getting any younger, the idea that Arsenal do not need a player of Wilshere’s ability and class seems a bit misguided.

We do have a lot of options in central midfield but does that really mean that Wilshere is surplus to requirements? Not if he stays fit it doesn’t, so will Arsenal be saying Grazi but no Grazi to any transfer bid from Milan?
