Why Arsenal should be VERY wary about this bargain transfer!

It6 is easy to see why a lot of Arsenal fans would gladly take almost any central defender in the Premier League at the minute, because Arsene Wenger seems intent on persisting with the Spanish left back Nacho Monreal until our regular first choice Laurent Koscielny has got over the tendonitis in his ankles.

But there is a saying about if something is too good to be true, then it probably is not true. And I think this could apply to the Metro report that says that the Gunners have been told by our Premier League rivals Man City that for a paltry £5 million in transfer fees, they will sell us their young Serbian international defender Matija Nastasic.

If this was Chelsea I would suspect that Jose Mourinho was planning to string us on until the last day of the window and then pull the plug. Manuel Pellegrini does not work that way, but you have to wonder why they are prepared to take such a hit on the 21-year old they paid £15 million and a player to Serie A club Fiorentina for two years ago.

And you have to wonder what has happened to the player who looked pretty good in his debut season but has hardly featured since recovering from his injury problems last season. It is not as if the Man City defence has been doinhg great without him, so why would they risk helping out Arsenal, unless they know something we don’t. What do you think Gooners?
