Why Arsenal will LOSE if Chelsea go for Khedira transfer!!

It was only a few weeks ago that Arsenal fans were hearing some good news on Sami Khedira in various Arsenal transfer rumours around the media. The gist of it was that the Gunners had agreed personal terms with the Germany international and just needed to wrap up the deal with his current club Real Madrid, who know that January is their last chance to get something before the midfielder leaves on a free transfer next summer. All good then.

Well not according to a new report in the Daily Express which claims that Khedira’s La Liga employers are thinking about making a move for the second choice Chelsea keeper Petr Cech who is unhappy about playing second fiddle to Courtois. Madrid also want David De Gea but Man United are not likely to sanction his transfer.

So if Chelsea want to enter the transfer race for Khedira, with Jose Mourinho said to be a big fan as well as loving anything that could hurt Arsene Wenger and the Gunners, then we could be in big trouble. We cannot beat Chelsea on wages and if Madrid would rather deal with them, there is little we can do other than hope Khedira prefers a move to north London. That could happen, of course, as Chelsea’s powerful midfield would make it much harder for the World Cup winner to hold down a regular starting place, but I am not holding my breath.
