Will beating Lincoln ease Arsenal fan’s pain?

Will a win against Lincoln ease the pains of losing out to Bayern? By Sylvester Kwentua

Winning and losing is part of life; you lose some, you win some! What keeps you going despite losing is the determination to right every wrong you have done, in order to avoid losing again or losing terribly. Arsenal football club has been on the losing trail for weeks now and the average Arsenal fan is not sure when he will feel the joy of winning. Can winning the game against Lincoln bring back the smiles?

Whenever a football team loses a game, it tends to want to bounce back as soon as possible, preferably in the next game. The game we have next is the FA cup game against Lincoln FC. They will be visiting the Emirates this evening, with the hope of causing an upset! After all, Arsenal have not been in the best of form, and a coordinated Lincoln could beat Arsenal, but could Arsenal lose another game? And against a lower division team? No, I think not.

The team selection against Lincoln will go a long way in telling us how important Wenger takes this game. This is the only realistic competition where a trophy is guaranteed us, if we play like we want to win it. We have won the FA cup a couple of times, so we are not strangers to lifting the trophy and Wenger has a wonderful record in the FA cup.

I believe he will want to maintain the record, if not for any other reason, than to finish the season on a high. I strongly believe we can beat Lincoln and qualify for the next round but what happens if after beating Lincoln, we are paired with either the two remaining London clubs or the Manchester clubs? Can we win those games? Will it not be better to lose now and save us further pains? Will a win against Lincoln FC ease the loss to Bayern Munich? So many questions on my mind, who has an answer?
