Will internationals hamper Alexis Sanchez suitors?

Alexis Sanchez has been strongly linked with the exit door all summer long, and the Arsenal midfielder looks increasingly likely to stay put.

The attacker is in line to return to the first-team following an injury on Sunday, before swiftly jetting off to South America to take part in some World Cup qualifiers, and any potential movers for him may be hampered by his duty to his country.

The Chilean will play against Paraguay on deadline day, and is expected to report for international duty early next week, which would most certainly complicate any potential transfer away from the club.

Arsene Wenger has remained adamant that Alexis would be staying with the club over the past months, but recently claimed that the financial implications of his stay was a concern for the club, seeming to hint at a potential exit.

Sanchez’s recent exclusion due to a supposed injury has failed to ease the minds of Arsenal fans, much in the way that many players have previously excluded themselves from first-team duties prior to heading for the exit door.

Manchester City appear to be the most interested in his signature at present, with a £50 Million bid supposedly being considered, although many reports insist that a fee closer to the £70 Million mark would be needed to tempt our side into selling.

Arsenal are believed to have a couple of replacements eyed just in case their asking price is met, with Julian Draxler, Thomas Lemar and Lucas Vazquez all linked, but Alexis to stay still looks the most likely conclusion at present.

Will his international duty mean any move must be completed by Monday instead of Thursday? Do Arsenal want their asking price to be met?
