Will this DOUBLE injury blow kill off Arsenal’s season?

Winning the Europa League is not the only thing left for Arsenal to do this season, as we also9 have the small matter of seven Premier League games left to play. With Burnley and Leicester City hot on our heels the Gunners cannot afford to slack off too much as we may well still need that sixth place to get us into Europe.

There is no doubt that the remainnder of this season’s European games are the more important for Arsenal, so the last thing we need is to be losing two of the possible starting XI for the first leg of our quarter-final with CSKA Moscow. That could be the case, though, according to a Metro report.

What is worse is that the two players in doubt are pretty much our only real striker options in Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck. The fitness of the Frenchman is a concern as he is only just back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while the man he replaced in the 3-0 win over Stoke, Arsene Wenger says, has a bit of a problem with his back.

Arsenal could really do with making full use of home advantage before the return trip to Russia and that means goals. So if our two main forwards are not fit, could Artsenal’s already sickly season be about to be killed off completely?
