Woo Hoo! Arsenal get some GOOD injury news!

The good news for Arsenal on the injury front is not about our Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey unfortunately. We don’t know for sure yet but it looks like the midfielder will miss at least a month after he suffered a similar hamstring problem to the one that kept him out for six weeks earlier in the season.

I am not talking about Alexis Sanchez either although the sounds coming from the club are optimistic that the Chilean may even be fit to face Middlesborough in the FA cup on Sunday after the crunching tackle by Leicester’s Upson seemed to have damaged his knee.

The good news for Arsenal comes from two teams that we are set to face in the near future in the Premier League. The Gunners have an away game at QPR at the beginning of March after just two days rest from the home clash with Everton. And with QPR hitting a bit of form, especially at home, and fighting for their lives it could be a tricky tie. So the news that they will be without their main striker Charlie Austin is a bonus and he has now been joined by one of their scorers from last night Leroy Fer, which is even better.

And we have had a boost for the following game as well, at home to West Ham who have also lost their main striker as Andy Carroll picked up an injury last night that will see him out for at least a month. I don’t suppose we should revel in players getting injured but Arsenal get more than our fair share so any evening up of the scales is certainly welcome.
