World Cup spot to help Wilshere shine for Arsenal?

It may be a little too early for the Arsenal midfielder to be thinking about a place at the World Cup in Russia next summer, as he is currently out of the England national team set-up and before he gets back in there is the small matter of getting his place in the Arsenal side once again, but I am sure that Jack Wilshere will have thought about it as England booked their place for next summer.

The three lions may have qualified for the football showpiece spectacular next summer with a game to spare and remaining unbeaten, so far anyway, but they have hardly been convincing. At times they have not even been much good and you could say that of last night’s match at home to Slovenia.

Another injury time winner from Harry Kane gave England the win but for most of the game they were crying out for the sort of creativity that we all know our Jack can produce. Surely a fit and in form Wilshere would walk back into the squad if not the England starting line-up and he probably knows it.

The trick is to prove that fitness and form and his eagerness to do so and be at the World Cup should only help his focus and desire at club level. We don’t want him thinking about it too much but with a place in Russia at the back of his mind, do you think Wilshere will really start to shine for Arsenal?
