They may sound like a silly question, but then again it could be a real possibility. Before Alexandre joined Arsenal, he was already done and dusted that he would sign for Atletico Madrid before the Spanish club were hit with a transfer ban. But why was he going to the Spanish capital? Because his best friend and international strike partner Antoine Griezmann was already there.
So Arsenal got lucky and snared Lacazette in the summer, so surely it’s our turn to give this France international pairing the chance to play together again, as they have done since they were playing for the France youth teams. They even go on holiday together every summer-.-.
So Lacazette was asked about this, and was quite sure that he would want his friend to join him at the Emirates. He said: “Yeah (Griezmann is my best mate), we are very good friends and have lots of fun.
“Our nicknames for each other are Griezzy and Lacaz. If Griezzy visits me in London, I’m going to ask him to sign for Arsenal!”
So if Sanchez leaves (which he will) would Arsenal fans be happy if Griezmann comes in to take his place?
