BIG sign that Ozil and Alexis WILL stay at Arsenal?

With the winter transfer window about to open, Arsenal fans will be hoping that Arsene Wenger does not just roll out the usual platitudes about working hard, finding it difficult to find the right players and all the rest during the next month before January ends with no new players coming to the Emirates.

Just as important, however, and probably more so is the need for the boss and the Arsenal board to get our two superstars Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to put pen to paper and sign new contracts which will keep them at the club for years to come.

We keep hearing little bits about the ongoing contract negotiations but as yet we are really no closer to knowing what will happen with the pair of Gunners who will be coming to the final year of their current deals at the end of this season.

Perhaps we do know a little more now though, after a Metro report revealed that another of our players who has been the subject of some Arsenal transfer rumours recently dropped a big hint that his Chilean and German teammates were set to sign.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was clearly intending to pour cold water omn the suggestion that he might be heading off to join our Premier League rivals when he posted a picture on social media along with the simple yet clear message ‘Gunners’ alongside it.

The fact that the picture he chose to post was of him with Ozil and Alexis is interesting though. Do you think it was a coincidence or does the Ox know that he and the other two Gunners will be together for some time?

Bob.

    1. You’d think so after being in the first team squad for so long. He aint good enough. With fully fit squad, Perez,Sanchez and Welbeck should start and should be rotating during games to confuse opponents.

      1. Of all our British core players Welbz excites me the most. Shame for his long term injuries I would have loved if he was available from the start of the season. Here’s to hoping he finishes the rest of this season and beyond. I agree with you, envisioning Lucas, Alexis and Welbeck could be a devastating attack if deployed correctly.
