Arsenal star defends Unai Emery despite Gunners’ disastrous form

According to France 24, Alexandre Lacazette has defender under-fire Arsenal boss Unai Emery despite the club’s disappointing form recently.

The Gunners started the season strongly but have since slipped and it seems as though the north London outfit are no longer a serious contender for a spot in the Premier League’s top four.

Emery’s side are winless in their last four league games, we’ve slipped to sixth in the league and rivals Manchester United are now hot on our tracks.

Here’s what Lacazette had to say on Emery and the team’s current form:

“Last season when we were unbeaten in 20 games in a row nobody said anything about the coach or manager,”

“We miss confidence and we need the international break.”

“I hope we are going to come back well. We want to be top four, of course.”

“Now we are nine points behind Chelsea and Leicester and it is going to be hard, but everything is possible in football.”

We really have the chance to make up some ground on our rivals after the international break. Our next two league games are against relegation candidates Southampton and Norwich.

These games are a must-win for us right now, we could perhaps capitalise on other team slipping up if we can start to build some momentum heading into the hectic December and Christmas period.
