Aaron Ramsey ‘excited’ with what Lacazette has brought to Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey has hailed the ‘great start’ to Alexandre Lacazette’s Arsenal career, and can’t wait to see how he builds on that alongside him.

The French striker moved to North London this summer in a club record £52.7 Million deal, and his the ground running with four goals in his opening seven outings, but those numbers will be boosted by the fact he has completed the full 90 minutes on only one occasion.

Arsene Wenger has used him sparingly while he settles inside his new team and in a new league, and he has already impressed his team-mates in his two months with the club, as Aaron Ramsey confirms.

“I think he’s made a great start,” the 26 year-old stated.

“He’s very technically good, he’s very clean with his touches and his link up play and he’s a great finisher.

“We’ve seen some fantastic finishes so far from him and I’m sure there will be many, many more to come as well, so it’s exciting times for him personally and for us to have him here.

“I think his understanding is pretty good so far. He likes to come a bit deeper sometimes and try to link up the play and feed players in.

“He makes those darting runs in behind as well, so he’s very good to play with and hopefully we can link up well throughout the season.

“He likes to have a bit of banter as well off the pitch, so he’s settled in very well.”

With Lacazette settling so quickly with his team-mates, we should be able to expect his best to come in the near future, and we have already seen glimpses of just how good he could be.

Do we expect him to become a regular challenger for the Premier League Golden Boot? Will Wenger give him enough match-minutes to do so this term?

  1. He won’t be able to compete with top strikers in the League if the manager keeps subbing him every 60 and 70 minutes. If he’s not mentally strong then his confidence might take a hit.

    1. Wenger has to make time for his son.
Not Ramsey, the other one. Not Theo the other one, Giroud. Yeah thats it, thats the ticket

      1. Dang guess we’re thumbing down jokes; are fans so divisive we can’t even joke around?
        I blame Arsenal TV.
Oh, and Wenger too. (That’s a joke).

  2. The reason he won’t be scoring as many is bse the Arsenal midfield doesn’t create any chances at all. We wait for a mistake from the opposition to stand any chances of getting at goal!

  3. Wenger you old goat. Three sons in the current team and he’s dismissed his other 3 sons already, Diaby, Flamini, Arteta.

  4. JUST IN:News coming in is that Mesut Ozil is likely to be sold by Arsenal in January. It’s been confirmed that there may have been a fall out between him and the Arsenal management team.
I also brougth to you a month ago that Arsenal are trying to sign Jose Gimenez of Athletico Madrid to a precontract in January.

  5. Sanchez doesn’t have to leave. Pay him the wages that he wants – 400k – and promise to build him a statue at the Emirates but he must end his career at Arsenal.
