I’m liking this Welbeck to Newcastle links. I think it will be best to sign him up on a 4 year contract then send him on a two year loan to Newcastle with an option to recall after one year. Aubameyang is 29, Welbeck is 27, both are quite athletic players, the one or two years at Newcastle where he has a genuine shot at being the main striker will most likely give him good playing time to assess how he’ll perform with consistent playing time on the pitch, it frees up the third striker role for an ageing but effective Lucas Perez and a developing Nketiah.
datguy is not good enough, want offer him a trial @ 27? he have seen a lot of him to judge what he can and what he cannot. his best was under Ferguson, if anyone can bring the best of him Alex can. goodbye danny boy, it is new era. bring Coman in for him period.
Not that i want Welbeck to stay but have seen enough of Coman to pay over 50m for him. There are better 22 years players that will cost less.

These’s a reason why I said offer a four year deal but send him on a two year loan with an option to recall after the first year. Newcastle will be forced to keep him for at least two of the four years if he flops, we’ll be left with what the final two years, as it stands we are left with one year anyways so that will just be like adding an extra year to his current contract plus about 50% of what he is currently earning. A striker usually needs consistent game time to get to their best, Welbeck has always had a bigger profile player in front of him, Rooney at Man. U, Giroud at Arsenal, at Newscastle, he has a good shot as the main striker and most strikers hit their peak at about 28/29, I want in on that peak if there’s any.

Injuries are excuses for him. Even if he had played 400 games until now, he wouldn’t have scored over 15 goals a season. Why? BECAUSE HE’S NOT THAT GOOD.

Zaha is very good, but he would not be cheap and Aubameyang can play in his position very well. For a right-footed winger like him, they had better chase Adama Traore (waiting for complaints on this name…)
