Ambitious Italian giants targeting Arsenal’s Alexis?

Inter Milan are claimed to be eyeing a move to sign Alexis Sanchez next summer, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A side have had ambitious targets in previous seasons, and are now looking to spend big after getting a large transfer budget to work with by the owners.

Inter are claimed to be lining up a whopping £128 Million transfer spree, and are keen on Alexis being their marquee signing.

The Chilean forward is currently playing hard-ball with Arsenal over a new contract, with the Gunners’ desperate to tie him down to a new long-term deal, with his current one set to expire in 2018.

Alexis has enjoyed a spell in Italy previously when starring for Udinese, which earned him his big move to Barcelona in 2011, and may well be open to the idea of a return, but they would need to offer a substantial wage in order to tempt him.

Manchester City and Juventus have also been linked with our forward in recent windows, and our club simply must buck up their ideas and persuade Sanchez to extend his deal before it’s too late.

Inter are also believed to be interested in James Rodriguez of Real Madrid and Marco Verrati of Paris Saint-Germain as they look to reestablish themselves as a force in Serie A, having failed to finish in the top three since 2011.

We are also trying to break a trend this term having failed to win the Premier League since 2004, and Alexis has been crucial to our challenge for the title so far this term.

Will Alexis sign a new deal? Surely if he leaves, it will not be to go to a failing Italian side?
