Are Arsenal fans happy with German overhaul?

Arsenal fans have been calling for change over the past few years, and while the changes aren’t the direct answer to the request, there could finally be some huge improvements.

Sven Mislintat is the biggest new recruit being brought in from Borussia Dortmund after an impressive 11 year spell with the BVB, but his appointment is not the only one.

Jens Lehmann and fellow German Per Mertesacker will all be a part of our backroom staff come the end of the season, and the Deutsche influence will certainly ring some changes, and Mislintat will likely bring in some of his own scouts also.

The former BVB director is coming in as Head of our scouting department, and his reputation proceeeds itself in that department, having been key in the acquisitions of Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and many more.

Mislintat is now targeting an extended stay in North London, and is keen to continue to grow and improve in his new surroundings, while refusing to rule out a return to his former club in the distant future.

“I was born in Dortmund, I’m a Dortmund kid, I studied here,” he told Kicker. “Of course I won’t rule it out but I’m not leaving with the intention to return.

“I’m following my path to develop further and I want to keep learning.

“At Arsenal I want to do the very best job I can do. I’m excited for the challenge and can easily imagine myself at Arsenal, in London, for 10, 12 years as long as my family and I feel at home there.”

Asked why the German school of thinking was becoming increasingly popular at the Emirates Mislintat said: “I don’t know but I have nothing against it.

“The setup will definitely make communicating easier for me to begin with.”

“At the end of May, Wenger won the cup for the seventh time in 21 years. On top of his three league title wins.

“I find it really difficult to deny his success. I’m excited to work with him! I can only learn from someone who has proven his quality over decades.”

Are the club working on making the big changes needed within our club? Or will nothing change until Kroenke, Gazidis and/or Wenger leaves?

  1. I welcome the German influence at Arsenal, apart from world wars Germans are winners, but sorry to quickly go off topic,I can’t quite believe what Ian Wright said to Arsenal tweeters who complained about the BBC’s bias punditry after the Arsenal / Man United game, saying to the fans “there’s no polite way of telling you to f*** off”, Oh lovely, is that what I pay my licence fee for? Told you before, these ex players don’t give damn about the club they played for and the fans who idolised them, all they care about is money their receiving from the television company they work for and with the TV companies it’s all about figures. The likes of Smith, Merson, Wright and Dixon will say whatever the TV companies want them to say and if that means criticising Arsenal then that’s what they’ll do. In the case Manchester United having the biggest fan base in the country, although the majority of them have never been near Manchester let alone Old Trafford, as a pundit, if you don’t speak highly of this team it’s inevitable you will lose your job

    1. Wright does get a lot of grief on Twitter though. He obviously said that in the heat of the moment as he has apologised. He’ll always be one of my favourites… Shearer on the other hand ?

  2. Wenger and Kroenke are german names and Wenger speaks perfect German (better than 90℅ of the Germans). I hope next comes Draxler und Goretzka and you see the best German quality

  3. Ja ich bin gleucklich, nur brauchen wir vllt noch jemanden wie Leon Goretzka XD as i think that Zonzi is not worth the 35mil
