Arsenal agree deal with Barcelona for 18 year-old wonderkid

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Barcelona to allow Marcus Mcguane to leave North London for pastures new.

The 18 year-old was into the final year of his Gunners contract, and had so far refused to agree terms on an extension. Arsenal have now made the decision to allow him to leave this month for an undisclosed fee.

McGuane had made his senior debut for the club this season, coming off the bench on two occasions in the Europa League, but after very little match minutes he has decided that a move would be best for his career, and will now try to learn his trade with the Spanish giants.

Barcelona have installed a €25 Million release clause in his new contract, which he has signed on for the next three years, although an option for a further two years has also been included.

McGuane will team up with the Catalan’s B side in the Segunda division, where he will hopefully help their side to avoid relegation this season, with them currently struggling down in 18th spot.

The Gunners could also see Olivier Giroud leave the club before tomorrow’s 11PM deadline, with Chelsea and Monaco both believed to be keen, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could find himself added to our ranks.

The Gabon international is believed to be at the Arsenal training ground as we speak as we awaiting his club to release his signature, after a deal was struck on Monday. The deal is expected to be confirmed as soon as Dortmund are able to secure his replacement.

Should Arsenal have tried harder to keep our youngster? Could we have given him more chances in the senior side?

  1. Arsenal used to steal their talents, such as Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida, Hector Bellerin, Jon Toral, Ignasi Miquel, etc. Once Arsenal have an exceptional talent like Marcus McGuane, Barcelona took their revenge.

I hope Arsenal would not lose the emerging youngsters like Maitland-Niles and Nelson again. Instead, I wish Arsenal steal more talents from the Catalans, such as Denis Suarez, Rafinha, Xavi Simons, Alena, etc.

  2. Man city are going for mahrez, where will he play, are they just buying for buying sake? They already have Silva and Bernardo Silva who can’t get into the first team..

  3. Heard nothing but glowing reports on this boy so we must be concerned we have lost a potential talent before he is even given a chance.Accept its very difficult to convince young players to stay when clubs like Barcelona come calling but could we have tried harder to keep him or do the youth team coaches know something we don’t?

  4. Can you believe that even with aubameyang 55m pound we still make a profit with this summer and winter transfer window.
    Transfer IN : 103.3
    Transfer OUT : 109.5 = +6.2
I know we cant compete with city net spend of 216m but as the 6th club in deloitte total revenue behind city(only 34m difference) we should be able to spend 100m on players without breaking the bank. Even a stable self supporting club like bayern has a net spend of 83m.
Utterly pissed by our owner and board bleeding us dry like the leeches they are.
In times like this i would have liked to have passionate hooligans fans who would make some noise, destroy some cars and scare the shit out of some of them at least. But most of our Britain based fans are momma boys or hiding under the skirt of their women, no wonder that country is going down. theresa may as leader LOL

    1. Shut up idiot!
If I had said that about you I would be called racist, so what are you?
Also promoting violence. Tut, tut. Expect you think you are a real bad boy.

    2. @Ackshay I have told you before to tone down your comments. DO NOT insult fellow Arsenal fans, wherever they are from, one more and you are going back into moderation….

      1. just stating the fact that if that was happening to another big club their fan wouldnt sit on their expensive seats like tourists earing their stupid sandwich watching and funding the atrocities happening in front of their eyes. Watch how Liverpool did it with Gillette even the royal Bank of Scotland helped them a little.
It sounded far less insulting in my head, I will apologise for going too far but the fans at the stadium and to a lesser extent in England are as much responsible for the sorry state of our club as wenger kroenke or those greedy board members. They do it for money and the fans just gives them their hard-earned money without complaint. It is baffling to me, maybe you like getting beat by the Swanseas and Stoke.
