Arsenal agree deal with Barcelona for 18 year-old wonderkid

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Barcelona to allow Marcus Mcguane to leave North London for pastures new.

The 18 year-old was into the final year of his Gunners contract, and had so far refused to agree terms on an extension. Arsenal have now made the decision to allow him to leave this month for an undisclosed fee.

McGuane had made his senior debut for the club this season, coming off the bench on two occasions in the Europa League, but after very little match minutes he has decided that a move would be best for his career, and will now try to learn his trade with the Spanish giants.

Barcelona have installed a €25 Million release clause in his new contract, which he has signed on for the next three years, although an option for a further two years has also been included.

McGuane will team up with the Catalan’s B side in the Segunda division, where he will hopefully help their side to avoid relegation this season, with them currently struggling down in 18th spot.

The Gunners could also see Olivier Giroud leave the club before tomorrow’s 11PM deadline, with Chelsea and Monaco both believed to be keen, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could find himself added to our ranks.

The Gabon international is believed to be at the Arsenal training ground as we speak as we awaiting his club to release his signature, after a deal was struck on Monday. The deal is expected to be confirmed as soon as Dortmund are able to secure his replacement.

Should Arsenal have tried harder to keep our youngster? Could we have given him more chances in the senior side?
