Arsenal among the clubs keen on signing £25 Million Champions League star

Sunday is usually a good day for Arsenal transfer gossip and today is no different with at least one rumour worthy of being characterised as very intriguing.

The Mirror is reporting that we remain interested in the services of Ajax star Hakim Ziyech. The Morrocon international has quickly become a very sought after individual with the likes of Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool also said to be keen.

It is further being reported that the 26-year-old is available for as little as £25 million.

Ziyech has been pivotal to the ongoing success of the Dutch giants this season scoring 19 goals from 39 appearances across all competitions and is joint top in the Dutch Eredivisie for assists with 12.

Ziyech truly burst onto the scene with goals in both legs of Ajax Champions League defeat of Real Madrid and considering his natural position is as a midfielder his goalscoring feats this season have been quite remarkable.

The fact that we are considered a potential suitor for the player and that his fee is well within our budget, you have to think that we stand as much chance as anyone of landing the playmaker.

From a personal perspective, this is one rumour I very much hope becomes a reality.

  1. We have to get CL first. 3rd is up for grabs now that Spurs lost. Cannot give Chelsea any room especially if Spurs finish 5th and win CL

    1. Spurs winning CL?!? You must be having a laugh!

They will go out against Ajax – mark my word?

Now to important topic – let’s get those 3 points v Palace??

      1. am I the only one who fears that if spurs actually go past Ajax whoever they meet in the final will be in for a very rude shock.

        1. I agree. Most on here were saying how Man City would be tearing them a new one and look how that turned out.

  2. Hakim ziyech is a good player but he is not the winger we need.ziyech is more of a winger that cuts inside and we have those in iwobi and ajax would take neres over ziyech.

We need a tricky pacy winger that hugs the touchline and stretches the epposition.
    a winger like SANE,ZAHA,NICOLAS PEPE.

Imagine having a forwad line of SANE-LACA-AUBA

    1. Pepe doesn’t hug the touch line too, he is also an inside forward in the mould of salah cutting on to his left foot and he will cost a forturne. Ziyech is an attacking midfield who can also play on the right side, so he isn’t really a winger. Sane is a proper winger but he is completely out of our reach. Some realistic wingers to consider are Steven Bergwijn, Leon Bailey, Thorgan Hazard, David Neres, Hirving Lozano. We can get one or even two of those but only if the budget allows.
