Arsenal among the clubs on alert after midfielder put up for sale

Earlier on in this transfer window Arsenal were being linked with a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie but that all died down very suddenly, however, circumstances have changed now that his club has put him up for sale.

According to the Italian media, there are three clubs specifically interested in the 22-year-old and they have been named as Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton.

That said, there have been no enquiries to date but according to the reports that is hardly surprising because the Italian giants have only just made it clear that they will listen to offers.

Apparently, Milan wants as close to 40 Million Euros as possible but as is usual these days it is likely instalments can be negotiated and that puts the player definitely within Arsenal’s reach.

AC Milan have brought in a couple of midfielders and Kessie is now viewed as surplus to requirements and the only reason he is a Milan player is that they were forced to sign him due to their loan agreement with his previous club Atalanta.

Kessie is a tough ball-winning midfielder and would certainly fit in at the Emirates, he is not quite a box to box midfielder in the mould of Aaron Ramsey but would be more than an adequate replacement for the Welshman.
