Arsenal blew the Blues away in more ways than one

Arsenal blew the Blues away today in more ways than one, the most obvious being the totally dominant performance against the Chelsea blues of Antonio Conte, who could do nothing as his new team was ripped apart almost at will by the in form Arsenal side.

Not only was their defence having a nightmare trying to deal with the pace, movement and passing fluency of the Gunners, but Chelsea could not get anything going the other way either, with Diego Costa cutting an increasingly frustrating figure up front and finally picking up a yellow card when his anger boiled over.

Another way Arsenal blew the Blues away was by giving the Emirates crowd a huge lift after some not so good matches at home this season. The manner of our win, with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and the full backs causing havoc and creating chance after chance, was just what the doctor ordered for the Arsenal fans who had been left unconvinced and concerned by the early stages of the new season. Now when Basel come to north London for the Champions League clash on Wednesday the ground will be buzzing and full of positivity.

Another way the Gunners banished the blues today was to end that tiresome run of EPL games without a win over Chelsea. Not only was that record ended today though, but I think that our reputation of being big match chokers that we have been fixing over the last two years is now gone completely.

Today’s win should also boost the confidence and belief in the Arsenal squad that they are good enough to compete and win, so is it bye bye to the blues and hello to a red and white future?

I wouldn’t get too carried away just yet,we played an extremely poor and disorganised Chelsea side today. That said we absolutely shredded them especially that Walcott goal? but tougher challenges await

You need to miss me with this ish. “An extremely poor Chelsea side”…They’re fresh from a 4-2 win against LC. We just didn’t give them time or space to get to us. We imposed our play on them. Simple as…

Just afraid that the way Hector B. played today Barca will be bothering our lives for him.
    Our bench was loaded.
Le Coq got injured and Arsenal fans cared less – Xhaka is there?

    Great day yesterday
Will be in a good mood today too

The speed on him to make that interception, I think that would’ve been a Chelski goal. We have to stand firm now we have a strong team, and make it clear to sniffers like Citeh and Barcah, that we are no longer a selling club.

This was meant in response to the Bellerin comment … ££$%$% computers!

  5. Gooner4G says:

Giroud should not start such matches as he doesnt poses the pace, fluency and agility, maybe Welbeck. Yesterday’s team ticked all the boxes;we had Granit Xhaka & the Ox on the bench too! I cannot stop wondering what Wenger will do when we get 100% fit squad available for selection… Debuchy must be wondering why he didn’t join a new club!
