Arsenal creeping up the table, despite the doom-mongers

If you read many different Arsenal blogs (not just JustArsenal) you would think that the Gunners are self-imploding and getting close to the relegation zone after changing Arsene Wenger for Unai Emery, but in fact the reality is completely different and we are currently one point away from the Top Four with an easy-ish home game against strugglers Southampton today.

Added to that we have Chelsea and Man City facing each other in the League Cup so will need to rearrange their fixtures, while the team ahead of us, Man United, have a formidable task in trying to stop Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side and are very likely to drop at least two points.

So by this time tomorrow we could find ourselves back into Fourth Place, with the added bonus of moving within seven points of thirs placed Tottenham. The Spuds are feeling the loss of Kane and Son and were ignomiously beaten by Burnley last night, and we all know that are famous for imploding towards the end of the season…

This can only bode well for Arsenal, and if Liverpool can arrest the impetus of Ole’s Red Devils today they may start to question themselves as well, especially after losing to PSG last week as well.

Our other nearest challengers, Chelsea, are (as always) in turmoil if they are not top of the League, and the rumours are rife that Sarri is set to be sacked if they lose tomorrows League Cup Final.

Whereas the only people criticising Emery seem to be the Arsenal fans! But the fact is that, now it looks like there is no rift between the boss and Ozil, and with a much-reduced injury list, there is no reason why we cannot carry on quietly climbing up the table.

Get behind the team and we will conquer!
