Arsenal get BIG injury boost with Ozil in Germany squad

I am not sure whether it would have been better for the Arsenal and Germany international star to be in the starting line-up against Azerbaijan today, because Mesut Ozil has not kicked a ball in anger for over a month and so could certainly do with the run out.

However, just the fact that the Germany boss Joachim Low has selected our playmaker for the squad means that he is at least fit enough to play and that can only be good news for the Gunners with a crucial and probably must win Premier League game at home to man City coming up.

We have already had the bonus of seeing Alexis Sanchez overcome the knock to his Arsenal and play for Chile and now the news that our creator in chief Ozil is going to be okay to line up against Pep Guardiola’s team is a major boost to our hopes of getting back on track and finishing in the top four spots to ensure another Champions League place.

Some Arsenal fans may have been down on the German at times this season but I think you could see in our last EPL game how much we miss his craft, vision, guile and ability, as we had so much of the ball without creating many scoring chances.

Hopefully Ozil will get some game time today and then come back to north London ready to weave his midfield magic once again.

  1. Overrated player although still very good technically.

Just a shame he has no fight in him and does a vanishing act against bigger teams filled with more talented players.

He ain’t no berkgamp though. Then again who is?

    1. Exactly man. I like ozil alot and i was over the moon when we signed him but we can count the number of games where he has made us go wow and he has been in the club for 4 years that aint right. This season has been his worst in his whole career. I think its down to tactics thats why we are not getting the best out of him. But he to has underperformed badly its a shame.

  2. Sorry OT but Ox playing really well for England right now and has been well for us playing in middle recently.
    Perhaps we have a ready made replacement. . . . .
