Arsenal got the best possible draw in the FA Cup again

Man City is probably the best draw for the FA cup Arsenal could’ve got. by Konstantin Mitov

Well, it’s time to leave Arsene aside for a moment and take a look at the FA cup. Not the trophy that would get me really excited, but it’s the only one we have a theoretical chance to win. So what did the draw give us? Manchester City.

With our current form there was no good draw for us really. United were dumped out with a soft red, and with a choice of City, Chelsea and Spurs we got the best possible for me and here’s why. They are still playing in Europe and Guardiola will be looking at the big prize.

Arsene is looking for consolation and excuse as always. He was handed another good draw, because City has a leaky defence which we could exploit. Chelsea and Spurs are very solid at the back and with the constant rotation and uncertainty over our best players up front I really don’t see how we’ll get past them. Against the Citizens we might get a chance to sneak in some goals.

Still lot of fans wanted Chelsea or Spurs because of local rivalry, but we don’t really turn up in big games. Arsene needs a miracle to save the top 4 and another one to win the FA cup. Sadly I feel like both won’t happen. Not to mention the huge game we have away at WBA.

Tony Pulis would love to pour some pressure on Arsene and as I’ve said if he doesn’t win every game from now on, people would just straight back jump on him and it’s getting worse and worse. The extension will be the final nail in the coffin. History has seen us bottle it against big sides in the last 10 years and we’re likely to do it again.

When you are a top club, you can’t brush off disappointments like they didn’t happen. And as much as I’d like to see us win the cup, City will be a step too big for our manager…
