Arsenal joins Manchester United in the race to sign top Swedish youngster

The name Dejan Kulusevski keeps on being linked with Arsenal

Arsenal is expected to be involved in the winter transfer window as it seeks to strengthen its squad.

The Sun is claiming that they will be looking to splash some cash next month and one of the players they are targeting is Atalanta’s Dejan Kulusevski.

The 19-year-old has been on loan at Parma this season and he has been in fine form which has attracted the attention of some of Europe’s top sides.

He struggled to establish himself at Atalanta having joined the club in 2016 and he could have left them last summer for less than £10 million.

He is, however, valued at over £40 million at the moment, but it is thought that Arsenal could get that price lowered if they show strong interest, according to the same report.

Arsenal has had to bring in Dani Ceballos on loan to help them in their midfield this season, but the young Swede has been on a better run of form and to some, would be an upgrade.

There is, however, one fly in the ointment. Sun Sport also claims that Kulusevski is currently happy at Parma and the player isn’t considering a mid-season switch next month.

It has to be said that the Kulusevski rumours are persistent. He seems to be one of those names that are consistently mentioned as an Arsenal target and when that happens there is occasionally something to it.

It will be interesting to see if we continue to read about this particular rumour in the weeks ahead.
