The Romford Pele aka Ray Parlour thinks that Arsenal’s transfer activity is far from over, despite the arrivals of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis at the club already.
He seems convinced that once the World Cup ends on 15th July with England taking the trophy home (!) the transfer window will really begin in earnest. Parlour told Starsport: “In terms of potential players, there’s talk of Ever Banega and a few others but the World Cup is so important, there’s not going to be any big deals announced during it.
“The day it finishes there will be so many deals done. I’m expecting a lot of activity on the 15th July. That’s when it gets serious.
“The guys go back to training and will be looking ahead to the first game.”
Although we all love the summer, I really can’t wait for the new season with our new manager, new team and new tactics. This could be brilliant but will probably end in heartache as usual but at least we have hope this time! And maybe we still have a few more arrivals to come!

We still need a left winger, a center back to replace mustafi as he must be sold. I wish we could have replaced xhaka too but emery gave him a new contract so we should give him a chance and he was playing better towards the end of last season. My preferred signings would be Leon bailey for LW and milan skriniar or jonathan tah for CB. Would cost a lot though.
Well if we want to compete for the top 4 then it better not be over. I don’t expect us to compete for 1st place but we should be strengthened enough to compete for a Champions League spot
The Top 5 teams are ahead of us with quality and they are increasing their quality. Leno, Lictenstein and Sokratis is not enough.
Minimum we need a defensive midfielder and another attacker. Also, another box2box player would be nice with Wilshere gone and to upgrade on Xhaka/Ramsey
If we can get Ozil to have some spark and do some zonal defending i think we can just about make the top four and possible favorites to win the EC with what we have pending on getting Torreira
