Arsenal linked with a January move for Real Madrid ace

Real Madrid expect Arsenal bid for out of favour Spanish superstar Isco.

Real Madrid is expecting a bid from Arsenal for one of their out-of-favour stars in the January transfer window.
Reports in Spain via the Metro claims that Los Merengues are expecting the Gunners to make a move for Isco in the next transfer window after he fell down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

Isco had been an important part of Madridโ€™s squad for a long time and has rejected several offers to move to the Premier League. However, he has started just two league games this season and hasnโ€™t featured in the Champions League at all.

One of the biggest reasons why Isco could welcome a move to the Emirates is because he has lost his place in the Spanish national team.

Isco was recently one of the top stars that were dropped from the last Spain squad. He has been told that he needs to play more often if he wants to add to the 38 caps.

The Spanish report claims that Madrid would be keen to sell him should the Gunners eventually make their move. According to the same reports they have already lined up Christian Eriksen as his replacement.

Manchester City is also interested in signing Isco. However, Pep Guardiola has more need for a defender at the moment and that leaves Arsenal in pole position.

It has to be said that Isco always pops up as a target almost every transfer window. So, while a move is possible, it is hardly nailed on.

  1. Take this to the bank. No sane player will be Keen to play under Emery. Especially these tactical players. It’s clear Emery likes wrestlers and robots rather than talents. Look at Ozil, Torreira and Believe it or not he doesn’t like Lucazette and even Ceballos. I don’t care who we can buy. Aslong as Emery is the coach, we can’t achieve anything with Ronaldo in our team

    1. Ozil was exactly same last season with Emery and the previous season with Winger. Exactly. Bang average

  2. Wouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference. Emery would fart around. Emery already could play Ceballos, Guendouzi and Torreira in the midfield but whatever voices of his select the team he is in love with Xhaka. He is a coward and his team selection against Watford and Sheffield United gave those games away as we started on the backfoot. You can all see it. Bizarre team choices get shite results.

    1. Sean you are quite correct. Why on earth would a player of Isco’s class want to come to Arsenal the way they are set up at the moment. He would want max playing time and champions league football. At this moment in time we haven’t got prayer. He would be on the bench after two games.

  3. I reckon there are 1,000,000 Arsenal supporters around the world all praying from the bottom of their hearts that Emery goes.

  4. I don’t think Madrid would keep Ceballos over Isco

Isco will be 28 years old next year, but he is more versatile than other attacking midfielder at Madrid

If possible, I’d like Arsenal to get Vinicius Jr instead

    1. You could have a forward line of Messi Ronaldo and Neymar. But with the defensive and passive midfield we have seen Emery put out, even these three would be starved of the service due to the continual lack of creativity

  5. We already have Torreira and Ceballos not starting. With Ozil not starting, Pepe soon to not start, Tierney not starting, Holding not starting, Bellerin not starting, and Lacazette not starting, we will have the best not starting team in the world. Emery is stuck in some hallucinatory world of shitting himself when we play the Watford’s and Sheff Utd’s of the world. We lose before the kick off with the duff teams he fields.

  6. Emery is the coach not manager. He tries to figure out what to do with the players brought by the club. He’s still trying… ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  7. Your right Phil.I have to say I am losing faith in Emery. His reluctance to select his best back four and his obsession with the ponderous Xhaka beggars belief. Our only decent performance this season was against Standard Liege when the likes of Socratis, Luis, Kolasinac and Xhaka were missing.Need I say more?

    1. That says it all Grandad-and why I accept we must be careful with Holding Bellerin and Tierney ( who looks a real player ) it would not surprise me if Emery still sticks with leaving them all out and sticking with what he has been playing.

      1. Phil, I was flabbergasted by the line up selected by Emery for the Sheffield United game. Playing Xhaka, even though he had one of his better games, not selecting Tierney, Holding, Torreira and Ceballos is impossible to understand or justify.
If you are right for the selection against Crystal Palace at home, I will be deeply concerned. If Arsenal slips lower in the table, I will be looking for Emery to move on.
I thought that the prejudice by Reilly and his cohorts like Dean, against Arsenal for issuing yellow cards and not awarding dead set penalties would disappear once Wenger left; however under Emery things have not change.
Reilly’s refusal to adopt the same conditions for implementing VAR needs to be attacked by the EPL clubs as a matter of urgency.

  8. there no need of Isco because our good coach will not play him. We should be looking out for zuma or Mogan, better still Phil Jones of man United to play behind Auba and Lacazette since that’s Unai Emery ‘s vision.

  9. Steady on Admin, Isco a superstar?

Good player but not that good considering he rarely plays for his club or country.

My own view is that we need to strengthen our defence not the midfield.

  10. You need the defence and the midfield. Actually all we need is maybe another two or three players with a good manager who picks his best team amd not crap players like xhaka and kollachianic and with a positive game plan not passing the ball backwards and sideways especially kolachanac was doing against Sheffield ..Utd the other night get rid of Emery before he kills the players confidence and then they will want to leave
