Arsenal luck holds with home tie v Reading in EFL cup

Arsene Wenger will still not be getting too worked up a#bout the EFL cup, as our next game will only be the fiourth round and the Frenchman does not usually start to take it too seriously until the latter stages, but we saw loast night how useful it can be for the young Gunners and the Arsenal players not getting enough game time for their own good.

Wenger will be able to give another run out to the likes of Gibbs, Akpom, Holding and all because the draw has been kind enough to give us another tie against lower league opposition, Reading this time, and even better than that is the fact that we are at home this time.

After what has gone on already this season it does feel as though our luck has changed, and about time too. What makes the draw even better from a Gunners point of view, increasing our chances of a trophy and also bringing up the possibility that some of our Premier League rivals could be distracted while we have it easy, are the draws putting Man City away to Man United, Chelsea away to West Ham and Tottenham away to Liverpool.

So three of the favourites are going out, could this be the year that Arsenal’s name goes on the cup?

Bob.
