Arsenal reported to have made contact with Max Allegri

Arsenal has already made contact with Max Allegri about replacing Unai Emery.

The Gunners had to fire the former PSG and Sevilla manager after they lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday.

That loss was the seventh consecutive time that they have failed to win a game in all competitions and proved to be the last straw for Emery.

The Gunners have named Freddie Ljungberg as their interim manager, but the Swede will be replaced when they hire a permanent manager.

A report from FourFourTwo is claiming that Arsenal has contacted former Juventus boss, Max Allegri about the managerial role.

According to the report, Allegri is interested in taking over at the Emirates but there are concerns over his grasp of the English language and his preference to start a new job in the summer instead of now.

Allegri won five consecutive Italian Serie A titles with Juventus and led the Old Ladies to two Champions League finals.

The Gunners are also considering former Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancellotti for the position.
Ancelotti who is currently managing Napoli won the Premier League and FA Cup during his stint as Chelsea manager.

I have to be honest and say that either will do for me. Basically, anyone but Mauricio Pochettino.

It would also be nice to see Freddie given a few games to see if he has what it takes to be handed the role on a permanent basis.
