Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – Jese, Cavani, Jorginho, Alexis exit

We are six weeks away from Christmas, so the speculation is starting to increase slightly (it never stops), so we thought we’d give you a brief update on the latest pieces doing the rounds.

Spanish reports are claiming that we are ready to launch a £21 Million bid to sign Jese Rodriguez from Real Madrid. The striker is believed to be growing frustrated at his lack of first-team action, and is also believed to be admired by Wenger. Whether the French manager believes he is worth £21 Million is yet to be seen however.

Edinson Cavani is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain following last week’s devastating events in the French capital, with fears for his and his family’s safety. Still early in the aftermath of the attacks last week, and we can all understand his fears and frustrations.

Jorginho’s agent has hinted at a possible move to the Emirates in January, simply because one of our scouts went to watch Napoli take on Genoa a couple of weeks ago. Early days on this one I would say.

Last but not least, Manchester United are claimed to be lining up a £53 Million bid to sign Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean star is a key player for our club, and of course, will be going nowhere. Even if United were to come in with an offer of £100 Million, we are in a comfortable financial position, and would reject them anyone.

Can anyone find any truth in the latest rumours? I think we can all feel for Cavani, but we will have to see how much is true on the exit reports.

  1. I don’t believe the Cavani story. Terrorist attacks can happen anywhere. He can’t just decide to leave PSG because an attack happened in Paris.

  2. we’re not buying anyone, let’s not go there. The boss has had ALL summer long to go get someone and he only bought petr cech. Again, what club will sell you their best players for a bargain price? none! He knows we’re getting wilshere/rosicky/welbeck/theo/ramsay all back by dec/jan so he’s definitely not buying anyone else. Wenger is an economist by trade, it all makes sense to me now, he will buy whoever he thinks will give him the BEST value for his $$$ end of story. This is not manchester city folks.
