Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – Lewandowski, Benatia, Tierney, Chukwueze update

We have all but cemented our place in next season’s Champions League this weekend, so we though we’d take a brief look at who could be joining us ahead of the new campaign.

Gabriel and Mertesacker have failed to nail a regular starting spot down this season, and Mehdi Benatia is said to be lined up as a possible rival for the pair. The Bayern CB talked up a possible move this summer, and could be a great addition.

Another Munich star in Robert Lewandowski is also said to be a target, although I don’t expect him to become available in the near future. A £50 Million battle is said to be on the cards for us and Liverpool, but for me there is no chance of his capture unfortunately (even less so for LFC).

Another defender we are linked with is Celtic’s impressive young left-back Kieran Tierney. We are believed to have shown the most interest in the 19 year-old, and with Gibbs likely to leave this summer, either him or Ben Chilwell could come in to challenge Nacho Monreal for the first-team role.

One future star who we was expected to have signed months ago is Samuel Chukwueze, but the deal looks to be falling through. The striker won the U17 World Cup alongside the recently joined Kelechi Nwakali, but a fee is said to have proved to be a stumbling block for Chukwueze.

  1. BLa BLa BLa……….. Don’t fLatter urself……… Our onLy reaListic Target is Chukwueze and the fee is even a stumbling block

currently, it’s One pound to 290 Naira….still we expect a stumbling block to occur…..Ridiculous and Laughable

Lewy?…. Don’t even wanna talk bout it

Transfer Business?…..we are so good at it!….L()L

    We are The Arsenal

  2. So there is little positive left for this season. Not to worry. We can always resort to TRANSFER RUMORS. (prevarication and misinformation)

  3. Don’t listen to rumours, they’re only made so you can buy your season ticket in the hope of watching big names play at the Emirates. If you’re an Arsenal fan you should know that everything the media says is a lie until there is a photo of the player holding the Arsenal shirt.

  4. One thing is for sure we could use Lewandowski. Probably equaly sure is that he would want to go to a team with ambition and a chance of winning a major title. This eliminates us.

In addition in this economic climate I doubt Lewandoski will go for £50. I assume it will take a lot more than that.

    1. Arsene is so stingy that ” left to him – he would expect Soccer Stars to sign for FREE, for Arsenal. He may be justified if he is in the league of Barca or Bayern but he manages only Arsenal..!!.. Wish he recruits adequate ‘ bench strength ‘ to overcome a strenuous and tiring EPL and CL campaign at least in Summer 2016 so that his EPL Campaign does not fizzle out mid way thru the EPL through injuries to his key players..!!..
