Arsenal v Hull Preview, Line-Up and Score Prediction

Arsenal vs Hull City Preview, Line up and predicted score by KJ

The last time we faced Hull, I’m pretty sure the majority of Arsenal fans aged 10 years on that day. We went 2-0 down within only 10 minutes. It was a shambles of a start and we gifted that to Hull. Fortunately, this team had actual bottle and they managed to salvage the FA cup from despair. What this tells us is that Hull City under Steve Bruce are a tricky team to play against.

We are in quite a pickle with all the injuries and suspensions we have. The line up will have a pretty comical defence but you still expect us to do well considering it’s a weaker team at home we’re playing against.

The likes of Wilshere and Santi will need to have strong games as dictating the play is so important with a defence as poor as ours. We can’t lose the ball in silly positions giving Hull City the opportunity to counter attack at will. Flamini and Arteta (if they both start) will have a lot of defensive responsibility and will need to ensure that Mertesacker and Monreal (most probably) aren’t easily gotten at.

Line up:
Szczesny
Bellerin – Mertesacker – Monreal – Gibbs
Flamini
Sanchez – Arteta – Wilshere – Cazorla
Welbeck

Bellerin and Monreal are going to be tested because of their lack of experience. Bellerin although extremely talented hasn’t impressed me much. He seems far too raw but this game might be one where he can adjust mentally to the top level.

Sanchez will have to provide good defensive cover for Bellerin. Wilshere and Cazorla will have the creativity of the team burdened on them and it will be difficult as I’m certain Wenger will play both Arteta and Flamini to offset the fact that we’re playing a really weak defence.

This will be an unnecessarily difficult game because of the defence and the fact that we’ve lost Özil for 3 months but we should still win. 3 – 1 to the Gunners.
