Arsenal v Red Star Belgrade Match Preview, Line-up and Score Prediction

Red Star Belgrade make the trip to North London to take on Arsenal tonight as they look to get their Europa League campaign back on track. The Serbian side will feel hard done-by after their 1-0 loss to the Gunners two weeks ago, having enjoyed a level match until losing a player to a red card with 10 minutes left to play.

Arsenal took full advantage in opening up their defence through a delightful team goal, and it would have been of little surprise had we managed to muster up another goal following their dismissal. Before the red card the match could literally have gone either way.

We sit pretty on top of the group at present, with three wins from three, and another victory today will seal our place in the knock-out stages, and possibly cement us in top spot should BATE fail to beat FC Koln.

Arsenal have been eager to use the full breadth of their squad in the competition thus far, and you would firmly expect the fringe players of the first-team squad to feature once again, including starts for Reiss Nelson, Chris Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Predicted XI:

Macey
Holding  Elneny  Monreal
Nelson  Willock  Coquelin  Maitland-Niles
Walcott  Wilshere
Giroud

This team didn’t fill their boots away to the Serbian side, but our opponents are known for being particularly strong in their home stadium, and I feel we will put them to the sword away from their usual comfortable surroundings.

Theo Walcott usually enjoys these outings and will be my pick to open the scoring tonight, and I can’t help but think that we will be able to control our opponents much the better tonight than we did previously.

I’m going for a comfortable 4-0 win, but what are your predictions?

  1. Playing Elneny as a CD again?
So sad yesterday night. How can we allow those that we were far ahead to frog leap us and some people up still think that we are on the right path? Okay, on the right path of decline.
So sad we are not in action the day we were suppose to be in action.

  2. How come the most of Arsenal supporters can see the obvious frailties in weegors choice of central defender but the man who is being paid 8 mill has no idea and his weegorites are still followers of his every word. is this a dictatorship?

    1. You do know that this is Arsenal’s second team, and Mustafi and Chambers are still out injured?
You need to go see someone about your Wenger fixation. It’s affecting you more than it ever did a fictional “Wengerite”

    2. Any comment you make is null and void as long as you continue to use ridiculous names for people.

It’s rather pathetic and extremely childish.

  3. cant believe our luck
man utd get europa league beating fecking ajax and st etienne

    we are looking at :
    top of serie a ..napoli
a dortmund no doubt with all injuries sorted by then
an athletico madrid with diego costa back in january

    1. need a mixture of experience players to led and guide the younger ones…

Eleney may not be a CB but he players pretty well in it…

  4. play Debuchy in the back line . Elneny in the middle and Nketia for Walcott
so sick and tired of seeing Walcott

  5. Surely Monreal is too important for him to be played in this game. I would rather we even gamble with a back 3 of:

Debuchy – Elneny – Holding – I know its not balanced but we need Nacho for City even more.

or Wenger can revert back to 4 at the back due to the available personnel

    Cech
    Debuchy Holding Elneny Maitland-Niles
    Willock Coquelin
    Walcott Wilshere Iwobi
    Giroud
