Arsenal will never pay a world class price for Aubameyang

Arsenal may not buy Aubameyang because of his price… by Konstantin Mitov

We may be selling Alexis Sanchez, but the only kind of hope on the horizon was the transfer saga with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang which in fact looks like it’ll become another piece of hot air. Arsene Wenger was questioned about Auba’s character and whether he’d fit Arsenal and he said this:

“I believe overall you look at the achievements of a player during his career and usually, when a career has been very positive, the character has been used in a positive way”. Adding it with the answer to the question of whether the deal is happening he said this: “These kind of things, it’s better when it’s secret and when you don’t come out on it, and when you announce it when it’s over the line”.

So there’s obviously interest but in reality no reports of a bid have come in and despite rumors of his agent flying in to London and the apparent presence of Lehmann in Dortmund we might stumble on the price. As we all know Arsenal live in the past in every regard and we haven’t really accepted that a world class player will cost world class money, especially in January when it’s difficult to replace such players.

Regardless of that if we don’t get him because we are too unwilling to spend all the money from the sales of Ox, Walcott and Coquelin and the highest ticket price in the world, this would be a major spit in the face of every Arsenal fan, but hey I’ve seen this too many times before to be bothered really.
