Arsenal’s worst fears confirmed about Bellerin and Mislintat

Although Arsenal managed a fantastic win against Chelsea this weekend, It has not been all brightness and light after Hector Bellerin was stretchered off and the BBC has now confirmed that the injury is extremely serious and he will miss the rest of the season.

They reported….

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin will miss the rest of the season after scans confirmed he has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

The Spain right-back, 23, was carried off on a stretcher in the 72nd minute of Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Bellerin is expected to be out for between six and nine months.

So we have yet another season-ending injury after Danny Welbeck and Rob Holding, and our squad is looking thinner that ever, and despite losing two defenders and a striker, it looks like we are concentrating on just bringing in one midfielder in January! How does that make sense?

But one person who will not be finding us uncut gems in the next transfer window is our scouting guru Sven Mislintat, as it has now been confirmed by Arsenal themselves that the German will be leaving us in a couple of weeks. They announced on Arsenal.com

Sven has been with us since December 1, 2017 and has done a truly outstanding job in helping us recruit players who are making a big impact now and will do so even more in the future.

We wish him every success for the future and thank him for his extremely hard work on behalf of Arsenal.

Sven said: “It’s been an amazing experience to work at a great club like Arsenal in what has been a big time of change. I am excited about what the future holds for the club and am looking forward to new challenges for myself.”

This is a big blow to Arsenal’s future as he has already had a massive impact on our arriving players in the short time he has been at the Emirates. Obviously there have been rumours about a rift with Raul Sanllehi and Emery, but I am not sure that anyone knows the truth just yet, so we will just have to wait and see.

Whatever reason, it is yet another bit of bad news for Arsenal fans…
