It was never really in doubt and so it proved as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deservedly wins the Arsenal player of the month award.
The Gabon international found the back of the net on two occasions in August, grabbing his first in the opening day win over Newcastle United at St James Park.
He then scored the winner against Burnley in the first game of the season at the Emirates with a beautiful and simply unstoppable shot.
The 30-year-old did not score in the final August game but he did assist Lucas Torreira in the 3-1 loss against Liverpool at Anfield.
Young Joe Willock was second in the voting and another youngster Matteo Guendouzi, claimed the third spot, as listed on Arsenal.com

I doubt this is the last award the Arsenal hitman will be picking up before his career comes to a close.
Nketiah scored a brace for England U21’s & Nelson scored the other!! Spot on!!
Well done to Auba… first of many, hey?!!
That’s fantastic news about Nketiah and Nelson. Hope they are both patient because I can’t see them getting much game time at Arsenal for a few more years.
Good article
If Aubameyang were a French, he would have gotten more international awards
He is always good in the air. But I hope he can keep his pace and stamina as he gets older, like Ronaldo
Well deserved by Aubameyang. Sometimes ,I wish he could play top 9 while we find a way to accommodate Lacazette on the same field. He is an assured goal scorer than Lacazette. The stats is clear on this.
Congratulations Auba.
how did we let malen and gnabry go?
They both scored Holland winning 4-2
YES. Deservedly so.
Hope he and Lacazette and others score lots more
