EXTRA -Brilliant video of Reiss Nelson’s season so far at Hoffenheim – Future Arsenal star?

We have been listening to all the raving about Reiss Nelson’s brilliant start to the season at Hoffenheim, but we haven’t actually seen much of the action. This video will show you every thing you need to know as to why he was named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for October. High Praise indeed.

This is his record up to now
Nelson at Hoffenheim
Games played 11
Games started 4
Minutes played 413
Goals 6
Assists 0
Chances created (including assists) 14
Passes 149 467
Passing accuracy 89.93%

That is the stats (which are quite good!) but now look at the reality….

Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for the video and the statistics, been looking for them for a while

What concerns me is he produced zero assists, despite created chances as a wide player. His goal tally is great, which means he might be more suited to be a goalscorer instead of a creator

He seems to have improved his skills to cut inside from the left wing and shoot with his stronger right foot. He did not play well as an LW under Wenger, therefore I’m happy to see his improvement there

    1. He was played as a Wing Back in some games last season.Im all for young players getting game time but would you seriously play an attacking player as a WB?AMN is more defensive minded so playing as a WB was more natural for him.Nelson is an attacking CM for the youth teams so could hardly be expected to impress

      1. Yes, he was tried as a right wingback last season. It’s okay because Victor Moses was also converted into a right wingback with a great success, but Nelson did not do well in that position for a few matches

I liked his pace and his willingness to race with the opponents when playing on the right side, therefore maybe he could be the answer for Arsenal’s RW need

    2. My mind thought this boy play beautiful football and his movement more natural than iwobi…lets bring him back & send iwobi to loan!!!!

  2. Am more worried about he’s chances created,I think as a winger he should assist more but if he keeps scoring like this, then I I don’t give a damn about assisting.i just want us to have our own hazard who can be a game changer

  3. We should not overpraise this clearly hugely talented player just yet. That could be HAZARDOUS to his future. OOPS!

  4. we need to be patient with him. overpraising him could affect his development. He is not a finished property yet. He needs to learn that is why he was given a nod to go on loan where he will gain regular playing time. Don’t even compare him to Iwobi. He’s still far from iwobi. Iwobi is a first team player and has more experience than him both at the club level and international level. Let’s see him play more and more and produce this form consistently for good two seasons.
