Calm down, Arsenal players will play important roles for England

It has been noticed that there is a lack of Arsenal players in the current England set-up and it is not a sudden thing either, however, it is not all doom and gloom, circumstances have played their part and our youngsters will almost certainly play a part in the not so distant future.

For starters, Danny Welbeck would have been in Gareth Southgate’s squad if he was not injured and the chances are that Rob Holding would have forced his way into the squad by now if he was not also sidelined. Then there is Ainsley Maitland-Niles, he has already featured for the England U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21’s and must be very close to promotion to the senior squad.

Then there are our youngsters that are not in the Arsenal senior squad right now but who have featured for the England youth teams including Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe.

There is also the chance that we may sign England players that could play a part for England, as an example we published an article just a couple of days ago listing four players that we could realistically sign and two of those are England internationals, James Ward-Prowse of Southampton and Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.

I will admit that there was a time we were well represented with England but in all fairness that was quite a while back and so this current situation is nothing new but the signs are good for the future, we do have at least one established England international, we do have three to four players on the cusp of an England call up, we do have exciting high quality youngsters that could easily come through and don the Three Lions shirt and we can yet sign an already established England international.

I am sure Arsenal will be pivotal for England in the years ahead of us.
