Cech Out! Arsenal stars suffer bad night at Euro 2016

It was not a bad day at Euro 2016 across the board as far as Arsenal players go, because our attacking midfield star Mesut Ozil helped Germany to top their group and our on loan keeper Wojciech Szczesny saw Poland take second place, even though he was not back in the starting line-up after picking up an injury. Shezzer was at least back on the bench and will hope to feature again in their knockout game against Switzerland.

The two later games did not go so well for the Gunners at the tournament though, as our number one keeper Petr Cech was helpless to stop his Czech Republic team crashing out of the Euros. They finished bottom of the group after losing 2-0 to a resurgent Turkey, with both goal being smashed past him and giving the 34-year old no chance. At least he can now have a good rest before coming back to Arsenal.

It was not so bad for Spain and our right back Hector Bellerin, although our young star has yet to get on the pitch at the tournament, as Spain did qualify. They did not top the group though because they lost yesterday’s clash with Croatia who finished in top spot.

They now face a knockout game against an impressive looking Italy, so will the Arsenal defender soon be joining Cech in leaving France?

  1. Yes Cech played badly by
    not scoring any goals.
He must be sold to Crewe.
We need to bring back Almunia 🙂
    Actually I blames Rosicky.
He did nothing the whole game
The commentator never mentioned his name once.
Did ya see Martina Navratilova in the crowd.
