Club director plays down Arsenal’s reported interest in youngster

Reports have recently linked Arsenal with a move for 18-year-old FCSB youngster, Ianis Stoica.

Mikel Arteta has done a great job in managing young talents since he has been at the club, and that would attract any European teenager to the Emirates.

However, the rumours about their interest in Stoica have been rubbished by an FCSB director who insists the rumour mill isn’t the right place to get confirmed information about a club’s interest.

He reckons if Arsenal is truly interested in the player, the Gunners would simply send them a message.

Mihai Stoica told Telekom Sport: “In order for Arsenal to be interested, Arsenal must send an email, a fax, something … These appearances, what is written … We have nothing, no interest whatsoever.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

It is natural for Arsenal to be linked with a budding youngster at another European club.

However, just as Stoica has said, if Arteta wants him at the Emirates, the Gunners would contact his current employers.

There is still more than enough time for that to happen. For now, Arsenal fans would watch and see how the club’s interest in him develops.

The Romanian winger has played in 14 competitive games for FCSB this season and has 6 goals and 2 assists.
