CONFIRMED Arsenal team to face Man United – Wenger lied about Lacazette!

The biggest question today was whether Arsene Wenger would choose Danny Welbeck or Olivier Giroud to start today in place of Alexandre Lacazette, who was taken off at half-time against Huddersfield with a groin injury. But it seems that Wenger was just leading Mourinho astray and the Frenchman leads the line.

Other than that we didn’t expect many surprises but of course you can never tell with Wenger, but considering we are at home to Man United we would expect Wenger to pick his absolute best available starting XI. And so it proved…..

The problem is when you have an average defensive midfielder then your backline can never be at rest.Coquelin should have started this match.Some people think he’s average but I feel he’s been played out of position and being tasked with doing too much like a box to box player.How can someone who bases his game on tackling and interception lose that ability all of a sudden and you tell me nothing’s wrong but bdcause he’s average.Are we fans going to ignore what is plain to us?Let’s just pretend things are alright.Then after we win the cracks will be papered only for them to be exposed another day.

    Before the groin strain was mentioned, I thought he’d been subbed because of a clash of knees which seemed to be troubling him.

  7. Lied? Maybe Lacazette is a fast healer. Or, the injury wasn’t as bad as thought. One thing is for sure, he was limping for much of that half.
    If it helps to confuse JM’s game plan, all the better. ?

  17. I was mildly surprised he pulled off Laca last match, but more surprised that Wenger appears to have been playing some good ol’ mind games! Brilliant! That ol’ gray fox still seems to have a couple tricks left in the noggin.

  35. Kos and mustafi killed us. Not xhaka fault for once, thought Ramsey was a midfielder, he can’t be bothered moving ball through midfield. Guess he’s a striker, or a 10, everything but b2b midfielder.

  49. I predicted if we play like 1St half vs Huddersfield we will lose. So many misplaced passes and we were punished. Lets hope we get 2nd half also.

  65. We’re down two but I love the way we are attacking them! All we ask for is to play with passion for the badge. It’s a shame that we had to let two goals in before we realised United is there for the taking.

  70. On the positive side, they are playing very well and not lucky. Haven’t seen this much fight from the team in a very long time. The problem is the fact that we need to concede to wake up. Stupid mistakes for defenders to make.
