Confirmed teams for tonight’s Carabao visit from Brentford

Arsenal entertain Championship side Brentford tonight in the League Cup, with nine changes from the weekend’s starting line-up.

As predicted in our earlier preview, Smith-Rowe has been thrust into the line-up, and although we did manage to get Torreira wrong with Guendouzi starting, we did manage to name 10 or a much-changed line-up-

Will this team be too much for Brentford? Will we have to call on the big guns with Lacazette on the bench?

Hopefully the boys to get the job done won’t be easy though

  2. Southwest says:

Iwobi to assist for Welbeck or Mikki.

  3. gotanidea says:

    Lichtsteiner . Mustafi . Holding . Monreal
    ………….Guendouzi ……. Elneny
    Rowe …………..Mkhitaryan …………..Iwobi

It will be interesting to see the twins play (Guendouzi and Elneny)

    1. RSH says:

the most english players in an Arsenal lineup in a long time. And it’s a grand total of three lol

      1. gotanidea says:

        Yes, I just realized it

Arsenal need more Englandisation ASAP, because the other top teams have more English footballers as their first team players

        1. zeek says:

I don’t understand you gotanidea, most English players are not good enough. let the best play, irrespective of the country. moreover we’ve got the homegrown quota sorted out already

    2. Southwest says:

      Hahaha, nice one.

  4. RSH says:

Welbz to score today. Gotta feeling. Also excited to see ESW. Thought we’d see Nketiah start too, but guess not.

  5. Sue says:

Happy to see Smith Rowe starting ?
    Come on Arsenal

  6. Gily says:

Anytime I see Rowe, I remember Nasri during his early years with Arsenal. This boy is definitely going to be a star player. I hope he doesn’t turn into Nasri in his later years.

  7. Gily says:

    Welbeck calm down please. Already?

  8. Sue says:

    Dat guy again!!!!

      1. Bobshinery says:

        Thanks bro

  10. This man MUSTAFI! Anyways, great display so far. Welbeck, Iwobi and Mkhitaryan are really putting in a shift. This is a definite win. Clean sheet not sure.

    1. Sue says:

Didn’t Leno have a little wobble at the start?

      1. ??? nearly as bad as Cech’s blunder vs city!

        1. Sue says:

          Bloody hell ?
          Now it’s game on!!

  11. ks-gunner says:

Miki has to start over Ramsey, and that him on the wings and Mesut as a 10. Can run with the ball and most of all far from being selfish and good at making the right pass.

    1. Angus says:

Based on performance? Luckily Emery understands that.

  12. Break-on-through says:

Good energy up front, Brentford aren’t really the team they were but the lads look decent for a second string side.

  13. Break-on-through says:

Extremely poor from Guendouzi, just soo unnecessary.

  14. Bur says:

A premiership doesn’t have the given right to think they can beat a championship team ……. you have to work!!!!!

  15. Kenny Rolfe says:

A new rule, their only using VAR for goals that are scored against Liverpool or Manchester United

  16. Break-on-through says:

    Ho, Ho ho yeees!!!!!

  17. Sue says:

    Well done AFC ?

  18. RSH says:

That’s six wins in a row. Onto the next one ?

  19. Alldwayfromafrica says:

Can anyone provide a quick review on the game…. couldn’t watch the match
