Dani Ceballos has to do just one thing to satisfy Spain manager

Spain manager Robert Moreno has been speaking to the press covering all manner of topics including what he wants for Dani Ceballos at Arsenal.

Moreno spoke about his sadness at the death of his predecessor Luis Enrique’s nine-year-old daughter, Xana, who passed away last week after losing her battle against cancer, and confirming he would stand aside if Enrique returns to his position as national team manager.

Moreno discussed other players and their prospects and so on before he moved onto Ceballos and he made it clear that he would not be discussing the players move away from Real Madrid on loan and what he wants from the 23-year-old at the Emirates.

“I am not going to get into Madrid’s decisions because [coach Zinedine] Zidane is the one that makes the choices there [at Real Madrid],” Moreno said via ESPN. “I want him to play many minutes with Arsenal.”

Ceballos has been included in the Spain squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania and the Faroe Islands and has obviously done enough to impress Moreno but if there is one thing that could cost him his international place it will be lack of game time.

If the midfielder continues to play as he has done then that should not be too much of an issue but a lot will also depend on how Unai Emery deploys him, if he plays him out of position as he did against Liverpool then that will not help his international prospects too much and can be just as damaging as lack of playing time.
