Debuchy and Ospina news a BIG boost for Arsenal

The good news is just piling up for Arsenal at the minute, and it is about bleeding time as well. Two wins in a row sees us into the next stage of the Champions League and still with a slight chance of topping the group, while Chelsea look like they could start to wobble at the top of the Premier League.

The most important thing for Arsenal, however, is to keep our own house in order and that looks a lot more likely this week with the news that the injury crisis is easing off. Nacho Monreal trained with the group yesterday so we should have a strong back four of players in the right positions to face Southampton.

And that back line will soon be at full strength, after Arsene Wenger revealed that our French international right back Mathieu Debuchy, only signed from Newcastle in the summer, could be in the team again as soon as next week. The manager revealed that the defender was already back in training, so maybe we will see him back in the starting line-up against Galatasaray next week.

That allows Calum Chambers to have a break and also to cover for Per Mertesacker so the German can recharge his batteries. And although Wenger was unable to put a date on the return of our first choice keeper, at least the second choice, David Ospina, is set to be back around the same time as Debuchy.

Onwards and upwards Arsenal fans!!
