Do Arsenal already have another World Class player?

Hector Bellerin is surely considered as the latest talent to come out of the Arsenal academy and he is certainly one of the best players to make the step up from the youth team in recent years.

Bellerin made the step up to the first team after capitalising on an injury concern to a then recently signed Mathieu Debuchy. The player, who is still only 21 years old, despite having been an Arsenal regular for the last few seasons, has become a part of a much stronger Gunners defence. Both individually and as a part of the team, Bellerin has proved both efficient and effective on the pitch and Arsenal legend Lauren reckons the Spaniard will follow in his footsteps as being a legendary Arsenal right back.

Lauren revealed during an Arsenal player interview that Bellerin is only going to continue to get better and that right now he is well underway towards becoming a legend if he stays with the club. Lauren stated:

“Hector is world class. He’s still very young and he still needs to work on some things, but he’s a very, very good player and a very good right-back. If he carries on the way he’s going, he can become the best right-back in the world.”

Bellerin’s story at Arsenal has been quite an amazing achievement in itself, with the Spanish star really rising to prominence by taking advantage of an opportunity given to him by Arsene Wenger. Bellerin has become a fantastic defender for the Gunners, who is very capable in his defensive abilities, as well as in his efforts getting forward in attack.

There is no doubt that Bellerin is only going to get better with more experience. I think Arsenal’s biggest fear will be whether it will be at the Emirates that Bellerin achieves his success, or if the right back will fancy a move away in the not too distant future. The club have already had to reportedly reject offers from both Barcelona and Manchester City and for as long as the right back continues to make great strides in the team, I think offers will continue to come in. Bellerin has spoken about his future on numerous occasions and has stated that he sees Arsenal as his home now. The Spaniard did of course recently sign a new long term deal, but that won’t stop some of Europe’s biggest clubs from making him an offer, let’s just hope he continues his fantastic rise in professional football with the Gunners.

  1. I don’t think there is a team anywhere that he couldn’t play in. Great foresight from Wenger, it’s no wonder Barcelona chased Wenger’s signature so often, along with every other top club at one point or another.

  2. I do agree. I’m probably the biggest Wenger fan but when I’ve analyzed the teams around us, I think a change in management could be good instead of detrimental. Just look at Liverpool, Spuds, Chelsea and even United. Arsenal has a better team but yet we still aren’t able to get the results and become champions. There’s a still long way to go but I think we could do a lot more with the players we have.

  3. well we are still debating on ttje worldclass nature of bellerin………However there are other issues at stake such as winning the League, keeping our best players( getting em to sign when their contracts are almost expired, fending off interested parties) and overall superb management…
    .
Letting these boys play their game and improve naturally will do us alot of good….lets not help infuse pride into their heads (we all know what pride does to people).
    .
