Draxler back on Arsenal transfer list after Wolfsburg U-turn?

There have been a lot of Arsenal transfer rumours over the years and we seem to have been linked with just about every player on the planet at one time or another, but some players are linked with the Gunners on a regular basis and this generally gives you the idea that they really are at least on the transfer wish list of Arsene Wenger.

One of the most regular visitors to the Arsenal rumour mill in recent years has been the young German international Julian Draxler, who seems to have been linked with a move to north London in every transfer window since he first broke onto the scene in the Bundesliga as a teenager for Schalke.

Arsenal hopes of signing the talented forward seemed to have gone when he moved instead to another German club Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015 but were raised again this summer when it came out that Draxler was pushing for a transfer away after just one season, but his club stood firm and refused.

The transfer to Arsenal could be back on the cards according to the Daily Mail, however, because Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs has admitted that they may have made a mistake and that they might well agree to sell their player in the future if he wants to leave.

He said, ‘We’ll evaluate the situation differently, and we may do things differently next time.

‘Does this mean letting him [Draxler] leave? Potentially.’

Do you think arsenal should or will try again to complete the transfer of Draxler?

Bob.

  1. Draxler has assurances to leave either way so it’s pointless this dude trying to come off big by not standing in his way. I reckon his price might have went down a bit from the summer when bringing in quality forwards looked a long hard road. I hope next summer isn’t going to be the same.

Walcott should take note, we need that effort in every game Theo, don’t just do enough to get fans on your side and then live off that for a bit, you need to keep us on your side because next time we may just decide that we’ll stay pissed because it’s only a matter of time. Walcotts next game I expect to see him have at-least three clear efforts at goal. Ozil’s next game I expect to see him come looking for the ball, open and asking. Also I’d like him to be our furthest forward when Alexis has the ball.

  2. We should get a ‘real’ winger. One who is willing to beat defenders then do things on a regular basis. But I doubt that, Wenger gives too much faith in Walcott and Ox. With Iwobi also in the mix and Welbeck to get back, I doubt Arsenal will sign a winger in the next 2-3 seasons.

It’s sad that when Van Persie and co were here, people were saying Walcott, Wilshere, Ramsey and OX will replace them eventually. Well 3 years after the last of the quartet has left (Others being Fabregas, Nasri and Song) these same players are still not household names, and I don’t think they will be.

They’re still in learning process. If you look at how Wilshere is playing for Bournemouth, he has changed his style. He is becoming better instead of predictable ie, he used to dribble and then try doing one-two on edge of box or inside it, passing in to the goal.

  3. breaking news:serge aurier won,t travel with psg for their game against arsenal, the british home office turned down his application for a visa, few months ago he was sentenced to 2 months in jail for fighting outside a nightclub in paris!do you think it,s a fair decision??
