Eidevall is looking forward to facing Man City Women, the”strongest team in the league”

Following a shaky start to the WSL season, in which they failed to win their first two games, the Arsenal women appear to have turned things around, winning their last two games.

The season didn’t start as expected, with a loss to Liverpool on Match Day one and a 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Match Day two. Nonetheless, Jonas Eidevall and his team appear to be returning to do what the Gooners expected them to do: win games and keep their dream of capturing the 2023–24 WSL title alive.

The victories over Aston Villa (2-1) and Bristol City (2-1), as well as the draw against Manchester United, have laid the groundwork for our Arsenal women to go on a remarkable unbeaten run. Looking forward to their unbeaten streaks, you can’t help but notice their next match is at Meadow Park against Manchester City.

Those who have been following the WSL in recent years are aware that Manchester City is one of the fiercest teams.

There’s little doubt that following the international break, the Arsenal women will be put to the test to discover where they stand.

Arsenal women’s manager Jonas Eidevall feels his team will be able to “deal” with City. He admitted after the win over Bristol City that he knows City, who are the most in-form WSL team this season (top of the table with 5 wins and a draw), are a tough opponent and would be ready to take them on, but he believes his team will be eager to win a game that could be decided by small margins.

Via Arsenal.com, the Swedish tactician had this to say about the clash with City: “It’s going to be a totally different game. We have been playing against very defensive opponents, and now we’re gonna play against City.

“I think they’ve been the strongest team in the league so far. It’s a great challenge. I love playing against City because it’s usually a very exciting game and it’s going to be tight. It’s going to be even and it’s going to be decided with small margins.”

Arsenal vs. Manchester City on November 5th; we can’t wait for the international break to be over.
