FULL Arsenal injury update is GREAT news for once!!

After what happened to Arsenal when the club captain and central midfielder Mikel Arteta picked up an injury problem in the Champions League clash with Anderlecht on Tuesday, Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans have been sweating on the medical reports on the Spaniard and fortunately it is good news for once.

The manager’s latest injury update on Arsenal.com reveals that although the Gunners will have to do without Arteta in the middle for the trip to Swansea on Sunday, his hamstring problem is a minor one and should see him back in action after the international break, when Arsenal have to huge games against Man United and Borussia Dortmund.

There is more good news for the Gunners as well, with Jack Wilshere able to play after his bout of illness. And our French international centre forward Olivier Giroud is due to be back in training next week, with his international colleague Laurent Koscielny also a possible returnee after the upcoming international break.

Wenger revealed, “Arteta will be out for Sunday. He has a mild hamstring strain and he will be out for a short period because it’s a grade one. He should be back after the internationals.

“Giroud joins in training next week.

“Jack is alright, he is back in the squad for Sunday.

“Debuchy, Ospina and Ozil are progressing very well, but of course they are not available before or straight after the international break.

“Koscielny has a little chance to be back after the international break.”

So with the suggestion that our Colombian keeper, French right back and German play maker are progressing well and could also be back soon, it really does make you think that the club may have put the long running and mysterious injury problems behind us. Not before time but this would be fantastic news for the future of Arsenal FC.

    1. on course for fourth. second in the champions league group! whats not to like?…theres no place like HOME

theres comfort in knowing wenger will never over or under achieve-

    2. Giroud is back. Campbell will be sold in jan. We’ll finish fourth depending on whether liverpool or utd or any other team can save us the embarrassment of finishing higher. We’ll go out after R16 in UCL. Can’t u see it yet ?

    3. Honestly, I do miss Giroud. Only just the way he catwalks after fluffing multiple chances and manages to hit the woods just once.

        1. …and how many of those 40 goals were against a top 4 team?
          Waiting….
          No?
Maybe 1 since he arrived in 2011?

How many goals would a real striker have scored for us, be assured it would have been way more than 40!

  1. about time ospina gets a run , talented, built, eager to please…
jessica will be a welcome edition to my evenings 🙂

  2. Yeah good news indeed, I can’t stand to see Mertesacker_Monreal plus flamini partnership against, Rooney, dimaria and traitor, Boss news is the best one for me and then Mikels. Hope it happens though!

    1. How far have we fallen ?!
While watching bergkamp highlights after tuesday debacle, bumped into a 97/98 line-up :
      -Seaman-
      Dixon -Adams- -Keown- -Winterburn
      Parlour -Viera- -Petit- -Overmars
      -Bergkamp-
      -Wright-
      Bench:Bould,Garde,Platt,Anelka.
That side would have chewed & spitted out our present team or Chelsea’s team for that matter.

  3. great news¡……….. Where???
“Koscielny has a little chance to be back after the international break”, little chance, that says all…… we have a little chance….

  4. It does seem that this season the players are coming back from injury quicker than before

Hopefully our new fitness coach is the reason why this is happening

This IS good news…..lets be glad for some good news guys

  5. WONDER WHO WROTE THAT ARTICLE!!!! WAS HOPING TO READ THAT WE HAVE A PRE-CONTRACT AGREEMENT FOR A QUALITY DM BUT INSTEAD READING NEWS OF INJURED PLAYERS….. SO D BASKETBALLER PER & D HOCKEY PLAYER MONREAL WILL STILL BE OUR CBS WHAT A SHAME….

    1. So in an article titled “FULL Arsenal injury update etc” you were hoping to see news about contracts?

  6. hardly a team worth paying top dollars to go see play week in and week out. Surely the fans have better things to invest their money and time on.

    1. I taught the good news waz #AW have resigned but its not, I wish he would hes washed up & o #FACK AW & free #JOELCAMPBELL u # brainless fart! !!

  7. Good to hear that we have the injured players coming back one by one.

But if the tactics is still bad, the lineup is still bad, the rotation is still non-existing, the result will pretty much be the same. Sure we will win some games, then not quite able to win the winnable games, and have no clue against the better teams, the top teams. 4th is still the goal.

Looks like Campbell will leave in January, also Poldi and Rosicky. Not only we need to buy 2-3 to replace them, and need another DM, one or two CB to cover Per and Kos, so we are talking about 4-5 players in January. Possible? Not likely.

  8. There’s no good news to report while Wenger and his wengerites are still at this club..
Injuries or no injuries we cannot win anything of note while he’s at the helm.
No direction, same old excuses, no passion, pathetic team selection, crap signings or selling the best players to our rivals..
People need to realise this until he’s gone we’ve lost any hope of realistically challenging..
God help us against dortmund and then manure.. Even swansea will test us..
We are pathetic until Wenger has gone..!

  9. That lot don’t impress me none.Very average players returning to a very average Team/squad coached by a very average coach.

  10. Once upon a time in the late 90’s When Wenger knew the French league inside out and had a wide contact of great scouts and an expert negotiator in David Dein and was wise to diet and physical prowess he bought players such as anelka, petit, viera, wiltord, henry, overmars, Campbell, Gilberto etc.. (He inherited – adams, Bould, Dixon and BERGKAMP was bought by Rioch) we had a vibrant home, passionate supporters and an atmosphere to rival the greatest teams of yesteryear..
Fastforward 10 years and we had a manager losing his best players and the psychological war with his nemesis fergie.. We lost the only man who knew how to ‘GET A PLAYER’ instead of a back room made up of dithering old faggots caught up in ladies of the night and reliving their youth at casinos and hash parties.. Useless at dealing with signing anyone of note.. We spent years going through players such as:-
    Jeffers
    Silvestre
    Squillaci
    Park chu Young
    Julio baptiste
    Pascal cygan
    Richard Wright
    Chamakh
    Stepanovs
    Luzhny
    Senderos
    Bendtner
    Santos
    Denilson
    Bischoff
    Malz
    Danilevicus
    Inamoto
We moved from a ‘soulful’ stadium full of memories and passion, to a fantastic money making stadia full of corporate twats(sorry to the genuine fans that can actually afford a ticket and are passionate) who entertain their faceless business associates and loose ladies with no interest in how well arsenal do only to ‘be with the crowd’ flashing thier cash with no voice or feeling as to the success of the team we love..

When I ask my fellow genuine supporters whether selling your best players to your nearest rivals made you feel that the person responsible had the best interests of the club at heart – can you genuinely say hand on heart that it was done for the benefit of team success or financial success..?
Van persie, nasri, clichy, toure, Sagna, fabregas, henry hleb, anelka, Viera , petit to name but a few..
Wenger allowed this and has returned our club to a club that makes money but has absolutely no soul or passion that all great clubs have which generates success.. I hope someone who has passion for this club takes over one day and uses this mantra..

First aim for success on the pitch that then generates financial success in the future for the owners ..and not the other way around…!
    Rant over

    1. oh sh*t inamoto- theres a name ive not heard in a while.

one person could change this club even with wenger managing.

no not jason vorhees…. david dein

    2. @phil, as usual great and wise words which I hope all the AKB’ s read then read again and see if they still think Wenger is god and beyond criticism .

      1. @lean
Here’s the thing dude. No one thinks AW is God or beyond reproach. No one is. But the constant nit picking and biased degradation gets old. You can pick out the bad points of any team and or manager. But to do so in every thread gets tiresome when others are trying to discuss other goings on with the team.
Your disappointments have been noted and understood. Move on from it, because there is nothing you or anyone who thinks like you can do about the situation. Ranting endlessly on a social networking site day in and out, is futile. Put your words into action in real time or they mean nothing…

      2. Leano
Every so often I’m impelled to write from the heart..
People know I don’t care what I say or who I offend- I just speak the truth..
Some of us on here have spoke it for a very long time and others that used to speak it have given up and feel beat, depressed and hopeless.. A bit like our current team!
Like you, I believe enough is enough and while I’d never lose my love for the club I feel betrayed by a board hellbent on financial success rather than football success! It leaves a bitter taste that causes resentment toward a man that I actually admire for his past achievements but can’t understand why he would blindly allow his legacy to dwindle like our premiership challenge does season after season..

          1. Agree

We have the most tolerable board in footballing history..

And I can only put it down to money.. That Wenger generates.. For them..?

NY g believes that fan sentiment counts for nothing.. And can do nothing.. He may be right he may be wrong.. But if enough of us believed it and wanted change .. I’m sure it would happen.. There’s plenty of evidence of previous managers fired from fan resentment to make me believe it’s possible..
It’s funny how all the AKB’s blindly back a dead horse..

    3. Thompson’s nose. I had forgotten half those names .I would like to add Mertesacker another dud for the collection. Can you imagine the wages that this hopeless pile have sucked from this club. Most of them stayed on to see out their contracts obviously because they wouldn’t earn one tenth elsewhere. Wenger just hoping to make one silk purse out of twenty sow’s ears, but at what cost. Bit like Beckhams free kicks , bound to score at least one after 100 tries. Sadly I can’t see him being persuaded to move on until his contract has ended.

  11. When is Wenger going to understand and drop Mertesacker? Lord anybody else can play better than him…a player this tall can’t even prevent headers. F***cking Snail! I blame him for everything and I blame Wenger for his choices based not on performance but on how much love he has for them..

  12. I hope to see at least one match with this line-up this season

    Szczesny
    Debuchy
    Mertsacker
    Koscielny
    Gibbs
    Chambers (DM)
    Ramsey
    Walcott
    Sanchez
    Ozil
    Welbeck

Bench: Ospina, Monreal, Bellerin, Arteta, Cazorla, Giroud, Oxlade, Podolski

    1. Actually, I take that back.
that means Wenger won’t get any signing in January.

I change it substuting Mertsacker for Top defender
      substitute Chambers for Top DM
put Sanchez as striker and put Reus in his position (alternatively keep Sanchez where he is and sub Welbeck for top striker like Cavani)

Dream scenario and with Wenger in charge it will most likely always be a dream

  13. HERE WE GO AGAIN. AW DOES NOT THINK HE NEEDS A CB OR DM.
HE HAS NO INTENTION OF BUYING ANYONE. WE WILL CONTINUE
STRUGGLING AND KEEP PLAYING FOR A DRAW.
HE IS AT THIS MINUTE INVOLVED WITH MANY PLAYERS, THIS IS TO GIVE THE FANS GREAT HOPE UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.
JAN MIDNIGHT HE WILL NOT SIGN ANYONE.
