FULL injury update hands Arsenal Triple boost

Arsenal fans will have to wait until Sunday to see whether or not our star striker Alexis Sanchez will be fit and ready to face Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, where we have got a pretty poor recent record and could really do with the Chilean dynamo’s energy and fighting qualities.

I suspect he will but if not it will be the next game for Alexis and that is not part of the triple injury boost I’m talking about. Arsene Wenger is clearly playing his squad cards close to his chest because although he did give an injury update reported by the Arsenal website, he did not tell us everything.

Wenger said, “From Liverpool we have no injuries, so that’s good news.

“Elneny is available for selection, I haven’t decided yet [whether I will play him]. I have to see how everyone has recovered. Elneny is a possibility to be in the squad for Sunday.

“Alexis I would say has a 60:40 chance to be available and be back in the squad. He has two decisive days – Friday and Saturday. He is fit, he has worked very hard and the decision we have to take is whether to take a gamble or not on his injury.

“Tomas [Rosicky] needs first to have a game somewhere. We hope for maybe an under-21 game or at least a bit more training with the first team.”

There is more good news for Arsenal fans as well, reported by Metro, as the trio of long term absentees Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin are back in training.

Brilliant news for us and our hopes of the EPL title, especially the return of midfield enforcer Coquelin and all three should be available when Barcelona come to town for the Champions League. Can anything stop the Gunners now?

  1. Great news that Le coq, wilshere, and welbeck will be back, by the time Barcelona comes to town because we will definitely need “all hands on deck” for this big game! Coyg!

  2. “Of course it’s frustrating for any footballer
to sit in the stands and I don’t want to
experience that too much more,” – BaBa Rahman!

Hahahahahaha Ofcuz, what did he expect?….. If the story of salah or cuadrado doesn’t teach u a Lesson, what will?

    1. hahahaha a troll with two fingers gave me a thumbs down

      “Enemy of progress”

      are there others like him???

  3. Sanchez and Coquelin
    coming back with Elneny
    being available is great.
    But lets take care.
17 Premier league games still to play.
    Plus ECL and FA Cup.
    Burnley Sotn and Bournmouth
is an ideal run of games to ease every one in.
Once every one is back Rosicky Arteta + Flamini
will see little game time and all will be gone in June.
But would be nice to see them finish with a winners medal.
Wilshere (injuries) is a game by game prospect.
Wellbeck has struggled. Perhaps next season for him?
So really it’s the return of Sanchez and Coquelin
and the availability of Elneny which is of most importance.
Santi’s return will also be very much appreciated.
I am sure everyone wants to be part of Arsenal’s
first title for a decade so competition for places will
be intense and further strengthen our prospects.
    We’re gonna do this!!!

  4. okay…….Let’s work this out together

rumour has it Aubameyang prefers to play in spain and for a big team should he choose to move in the summer

    what team would that be?

    Bayern- don’t dortmund ever Learn?
    PSG- would he Luv france?
    Juve- italy?
    EngLand- *winks*

    *craziLy thinking*

  5. I wounder how good and strong the formation trio of Ramsy Coquelin elneny could be ?
from what i saw on youtube elneny had some attributes of Vera
    Ramsy Coquelin elneny
    28………12……….17
just a thought with the 433

    1. No way are we abandoning our 4-2-3-1 anytime soon

only two of flame, EL-neny and rambo would make the squad…

Drop the 4-3-3 idea for now!

      1. I think Wenger is testing 4-3-3 idea, we played like that against sunderland in FA cup, and with Iwobi/Ox/Ramsey it worked like a treat. The problem is that our best player misses out because of that.

  6. I miss ALL the injured but Alexis, Coquelin and Cazorla have been our biggest losses (although Ramsey has been excellent back up to Cazorla). Csmpbell has been admirable back up to Alexis but the dufference is big. Alexis is a goal scorer and we miss his world class quality big time. Coquelin is arguably the best DM in the PL

  7. Wiltshire will take 4-6 games to get into a rhythm so I can only see him being used as a sub for the remainder of this season once he is fit.

Wellbeck will also take that time but I only see him being used to rest Giroud.

Le coq is who I am delighted to see back and will probably step straight back into the squad when fit.

Elleny will probably come on for last 20 minutes on Sunday.

  8. We need every player in the club to win the epl. still angry with the late goal we conceded in the end. Wenger should stop playing parking the buss tactics during the end of the games. It is impossible and way to risky to rely on the defense alone.

    1. It worked for like 7 games in a row when we were closing the shop in the last year and now that they conceded one, you complain? This is ridiculous, Gibbs/Arteta/Ox to close the shop has been used routinely for a while now and it usually works. You people will somehow find sth to complain about even if we win treble.

Professional complainer, that’s what you are. If only you would ever bring on a valid point, but as you never do, it seems that you’re incapable of doing that….

  9. of them all i can’t wait to see le coq playing again. Please make a comeback ASAP Le Coq Arsenal misses u alot. Goodnight all gooners going to sleep now.

  10. We really need sanchez back, walcott is not good on the wings. Coq/rosicky and welbeck coming back is a great thing if they can make it for the game against barca, that’s where we’ll need everyone to be ready for a big fight.
