With over a month of the summer transfer window still to go I would say that the Arsenal and England international star Jack Wilshere has just enough time to prove to Arsene Wenger that he is worth keeping at Arsenal for the season to come and so his return to training after the leg fracture he suffered while on loan with AFC Bournemouth towards the end of last season is very timely.
Wilshere has got time to prove his fitness but he will also need to impress the boss with his form. If not then I can see the Frenchman selling the Arsenal academy graduate before the end of the window in order to recoup something as he is now in the final year of his contract.
I do not think that Santi Cazorla is in the same boat, as most of us expect him to be straight back into the Arsenal side as soon as he is fit again. For a long time it looked as though we may never see the superb little Spaniard playing for the Gunners again as he has had no less than eight surgical procedures since he last played, but as reported by the Daily Star things are looking good for his return before too long and Cazorla is now working hard to get fit.
Will the return of these two talented Gunners prove to be great news for Arsenal?

Wilshere is a gone case… no point in placing any kind of hope or expectation on him. As for Cazorla, if he gets injured again we should cut him loose… Ibrahimovic even with all his goals at united was shown the door when he started with the injuries..we need to be ruthless too.
You have the Ibrahimovich / United situation completely wrong. They weren’t being “ruthless”. Ibrahimovich scored 17 pl goals and 5 assists in his first season in the PL.
Ibrahimovich wasn’t dismissed because he had an injury. He was fantastic for United last season. They didn’t need both him and Lukaku and Ibra was on a one year contract with very high salary. They are also looking at the future. Ibrahimovich even said he was happy with Ibra staying
All players have injuries. Ibrahimovich surgeon said he can play for years. He played all season with PSG and most likely will play all season this season.
Man united are considering giving Ibra a new one year contract only if he shakes off his injury and stays fit.

I agree. I don’t think Wilshere and Cazorla would be the same players after their long injuries.
The good news is high quality playmakers are available for cheap prices in the market currently. Jean Seri and Rafinha are available under 40 millions.
Samir Nasri is also available for free. I know some fans think he is a traitor, but he is just a player that wants to get trophies and money, like Van Persie, Fabregas, Henry, Clichy and Sanchez.
I saw how Samir Nasri played for City and Sevilla, and I think he has improved a lot. In my opinion, he is better than the overrated Ozil and can possess the ball better than Arsenal’s current midfielders.
There’s nothing to say about Wilshere that’s already been said already, he’s not the future of Arsenal. As for Cazorla he’s a top player but because of his age and constant injuries, one should anticipate that he would not be the same playing when coming back. The man deserves a standing ovation for what he has done for the club and certainly not being shown through the back door.

I hope that Wilshire does manage to get some form of fitness back and manage to stay injury free for the upcoming season not only because of his talents as a footballer but he brings something else passion, commitment and real love for the shirt and the badge. Qualities not everyone has in our squad and qualities that come in to play when things aren’t going the way you want them to
Always good to see important players returning from long term injuries.But in this case I feel that cazorla would be the one whose comeback will be more significant in terms of quality in the squad depth.I guess wenger will look to put together two first team squads one for the epl while the second for the efl cup,fa cup and europa league.We have enough quality and depth to actually do that
That’s good news, but let’s not get too excited yet..wenger should sign a new cm whether these two are fit or not..santi is not getting any younger Shere will has glass legs so we can not rely on them fit all season.COYG!!
I dont expect we’ll see both players able to salvage their arsenal careers. The young guns on diisplay at the emirates already present cheaper options when compared to the value jack does at 90k p/wk. Jack has attracted interest from turkish Antlerspor which pretty much tells us his career is on the slide, which is a really a shame.
On the otherhand the return of the carzola coquelin partnership is a proven recipe for success. It gives us midfield options which improve even more with the pending additions of lemar and seri to the team.
Priovided we bring in quality additions a 1/2 season from s.carzorla would see us return to the top four. I’m yet to see any progress from jack merits a return to the arsenal first eleven.
OT…. Im really worried about Lacazette. He looks lost last how Walcot used to when he first came to arsenal. Too timidy and strawing around like a tourist. I hope that is not his general attitude. On the flip side OG is sharpening and that can only be good gor us.COYG
