Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Rob Holding, it is all good news

Arsenal have released their latest injury news update and it is very positive, especially with regards to Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Rob Holding.

All three are in full training with the first team and whatever your feelings on each individual player and whether they should be picked to play it is good news to see the return of the trio, especially Rob Holding.

It is very unlikely that Holding will see any first-team action before the international break because he is still undergoing on-field rehabilitation but he is certainly getting closer to a return.

Xhaka and Ozil however, are both in with a shout at some form of participation against Liverpool on Saturday evening.

The news is also positive for the other Arsenal players sidelined by injury. Emile Smith Rowe could be back in full training within the next ten days and October could see the return of the rest of the injured stars.

Hector Bellerin is doing on-field rehabilitation and is expected to be back in full training at some point in October

Kieran Tierney and Dinos Mavropanos are both receiving ongoing treatment for their groin injuries and same as Bellerin, are expected to be back in full training in October as well.

While it would be great to see all these players back right now it is still heartening to know that by November we could well be at full strength which will set up Arsenal perfectly for the crucial festive period.

  1. Good to know they are recovered but they should start from the bench and can come in later in the match cause this Liverpool will be too hot for them.

Formation and selection matters so I hope Emery gets them right this season.

Looking forward to the midfield and attacking combinations he chooses cause that is where the match will be lost or won.

Hopefully our attacker’s play deadly in taking their chances.

    Super positive we win
Positive and realistic a 2 – 2 draw wouldn’t be a bad match after all

  2. Very happy Rob is finally back.we missed him after his injury last season, we would hv made top 4 if not for his Injury.

  3. Great, because we need competitors for the current first team players

Waiting to see Bukayo Saka play as an LW in EPL as well

  4. That’s good news but I will say go with the same team with Pepe replacing Nelson and Torreira replacing Guendouzi in the latter stage of the game when we winning. Liverpool are there for the taking with andrian not good with passing out from the back. I believe if the team press them really hard we could force them into defensive errors and hopefully our front three will be up for it on Saturday!

  5. Very good news we hope at this point our manager and the assistants get the best selection for this weekend Liverpool March the worse we expected is a draw . All the Players should know what at stake by now I wish them good Luck.

      1. While I agree some what but you forgot that it was actually ajax who knocked bigs teams out before going out to spurs. So I wont be dreading facing liverpool that much…it might be me but for me liverpool does not frighten as much as city does or united of fergie time n old Chelsea as well.

  6. Can’t wait to see a fully fit rob holding deployed in a back three of
Holding luiz sokratis and chambers + torreira in pivoted midfield

  7. Being compact away from d comfort of d emirates could do d trick depending on d opposition @NONNY.
And don’t forget both Luis and torreira can play football

    1. I have watched a lot of negative boring football from us fielding 8 defensive players is unacceptable even our gk can play football that doesn’t make him an attacking player

  8. Carlos Vela. Remember him . If you have CNN then check out their sport report they have a clip of him scoring a truly great goal for Los Angelos FC.

  9. Its so painful been an arsenal fan… Why on earth would Chelsea and man utd fans deem their selves worthy of a top4 spot and leave arsenal out of the discussion… Well I guess it’s about arsenal been banter fc… And they(arsenal) have to prove their worth in the next 48hrs, regardless of injuries and other factors as player selection and formation

  10. OT. Just watched a clip of horrible misses and i must say it isn’t easy to score a tap-in. Thank God we have Auba

  11. Great News. We need as many players as possible for the long season ahead.
I’ll especially be glad to see Holding and Bellerin back. Bellerin was very useful in attack last season with 5 assists. We also need backup on the right back position. Holding is a very good CB. With Luiz, Sokratis, Chambers and Holding there will be less need for Mustafi

Xhaka is a good passer if nothing else. Maybe Ozil can have one more good season before he goes

  12. —————Leno————–

    Belerin–holding–luiz—tierney

    -Torriera—cebellos—gurndozi-

    – –laca–
    —pepe— – –auba—–

If on form can surprise any team

  13. Like that team nonny…
Would fancy our chances against any team ,really fancy lacca as a false no .9 he has pace and strength and good control ,with auba and pepe playing like two inside fowards

  14. Very good new for sure. When the heat is on, the head coach will have all his possibilities at his call now. 25 players allowed just take full advantage of all.
